Crystal River

Anybody snorkled with Manatees in Crystal River before? I did it when I is middle school and absolutely loved it! We're heading to Disney in March and I'm wanting to make a stop off for a little snorkeling. Anybody have any suggestions?

I did it a hundred years ago. It was fun. I can't remember what dive group I went with out of Crystal River.

Been there, done that! There's nothing like it. There are a couple of outfits that will take you. No promises, but with the weather down here so warm, you should have good luck. Last time we went, I rented a canoe w/ a motor, found the spring in the river and swam right in the middle of them. You're not allowed to approach or touch, but if you happen to have lettuce in your hands, and they are hungry-you could get a great photo opp!

Been there twice, with American Pro Dive. both times we had the boat to ourselves!!!! (once in October, once in December) Contemplating a trip again in February when we go down again, but we're packing a lot into this trip.

Bought the video both times. Second time, I had my CD player there, so we copied it with a JB soundtrack. (Barometer Soup)
