FloriDaze and Parrot Head clubs from all over the great state of Florida would like to invite you to our 2nd Annual FloriDaze Beach Music Fest!!!

This year’s event, staged and sponsored by a number of Florida Region Parrot Head Clubs, will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 22-25, 2009 at The Inn at Little Harbor in Ruskin, FL. This is a beautiful private beach resort just outside of Tampa.

FloriDaze … reflections not just replays

This is NOT just another fundraiser with some music. FloriDaze is all about the music with a little fundraising thrown in. This year’s proceeds will go to the PHiN Fund, the division of the Paradise Charitable Foundation that assists Parrot Heads in Need in the aftermath of natural disasters. First formed to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina, the fund has continued to help victims of other tragedies. Living here in Florida, we know the very real possibilities that any one of us may need these benefits at any time and we decided to pay it forward, just in case.

So get on over to http://www.FloriDaze.org and register, and stay tuned for all the latest news and updates. This was a phenomenal event last year, and this year we'll blow ourselves out of the water with this venue and this line-up of talent .

The regular hotel rooms? Gone! But Little Harbor has agreed to let FD registrants have a Harborside Suite for the same rate ... $99 @night!!

We are sorry to say that with the Eric Stone band currently undergoing personnel changes, they will be unable to entertain us at FloriDaze but we are thrilled to announce these additions to our line up!

BelO featuring TC Mitchell!! BelO is a young reggae artist from Haiti whose quickly rising star is making his a world-renowned name with his own multi-influenced style of music. We all know that TC is a phenomenally talented musician who spent many years playing sax as a Coral Reefer, and is always welcomed onto the stage with the Trop-Rock bands that we all know and love.

Hugo Duarte and the Full Sail Band featuring Fingers Taylor AND Amy Lee! What needs to be said here? Hugo is among the first artists that Parrot Heads began to follow as this genre of music that we now call Trop Rock started taking shape. A favorite at Hog's Breath during MotM since the beginning, his late night gigs are always guaranteed to attract the cream of the crop of the artists down island for the convention. He's bringing two of them with him to FloriDaze. The Harp Master himself Greg "Fingers" Taylor and Miss Amy Lee, the incredibly talented saxophonist who also graced Buffett's stage for more than a decade.
