Rare 1937 Bugatti supercar found in English garage

LONDON (AP) -- It was the equivalent of finding an old Picasso or an unknown Beatles tape hidden away in your uncle's attic.

Relatives of Dr. Harold Carr found an extremely rare 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante - a Holy Grail for car collectors - as they were going through his belongings after his death.

This doesn't sound like it was "found" so much as the family didn't know he had it.

At least someone who knew something about it told the family instead of just ripping it off.

As ridiculous as it sounds, a Studebaker is one of my dream cars....I love them....a '51 Commander to be exact....although I would certainly take an Avanti....but LOVE that torpedo grill!

57 T-bird with a porthole and a continental kit. Candy apple red with a white pearl top and baby moons for rims, (yeah, I know they're not stock, but they're so cute). White tuck-roll interior with red piping.

Nice treasure to find.

On Flickr, I have some pictures of the treasures in my husband's cousin's barn on Prince Edward Island. Yesterday a motorcycle-photo-collector asked if they could use this one....

I don't even have a clue which types he has. I know he has at least 2 sedan types, one of the sports car types, and one of the pickups. They are all older models, rather than the newer. He's into classic restoration so they really look like original condition when he's done with them.
