Didn't Giambi develop some sort of cyst or something in his brain not long after he got off the juice? Same with Clemens, he had something growing on his ass.

Don't mistake that for his head up his ass.

a conspiracy theory minded friend of mine is saying that the surgery he just had, and the accompanying 6-9 weeks off, is baseball's way of suspending him without really saying anything.

Kind of like how the NBA secretly "suspended" Michale Jordan for gambling in the mid 90's, when Jordan went and played baseball.

You are the fourth person to say that, in relation to the A-rod thing, in the last four days, and I'd never heard it before. I just thought he was bored with basketball.

Like when Clemmens held out as a "Free Agent" for 50 days, the same time period as a first steroid offence, and then signed a contract with Houston.

Or when Gabe Kapler decided to take "a year off" from baseball to manage in Single A, the same year they started testing ....

Just curious, how many fantasy league participants do we have here at BN?

Do you belong to a local league with friends or use a national league (like Fox Fantasy Baseball)?

Despite being a huge baseball fan, I've never gotten involved with fantasy leagues. Maybe someone could start one here at BN?

This is what you would see if you ever happened to visit 55 Sullivan Place, Brooklyn, NY from 1913-1957.

I'm really enjoying the World Baseball Classic. The games are fun to watch. Although the announcers on MLBTV could use some work...

Curt Schilling official retires. Now is he a HOFer? Very tough call.

Yes. But others should get in before him. 214 wins and roughly 3100 K's . . . there are better HOF options out there. His name - persona - bloody sock - etc. put him over.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

a lot of people in charge of pricing seem to have forgotten that fact.
