hmmm. I guess he was being satirical, something I know very little about.
and what I was trying to point out was that just throwing money at a problem, whether in reality or suggested satirically, is not the solution to the problem. The pipe is only so big, and what doesn't make it in just splashes on the outside and cascades to the gutter to be carried away out of sight. Or can you say the folks who created Speed Racer, Drillbit Taylor, Fool's Gold (mountains.. in KW), or The Love Guru made credible pieces given how much money was thrown at the project? With all of those, just taking the money out of the bank, piling it in the street, soaking it in gasoline and lighter fluid, then dropping a match would have created about the same effect.

Well, that is pretty funny. Is Ron Jeremy and Larry Flynt going to testify before congress?

Not only do they want the bailout money, they've asked that it be delivered in a pizza box by some buff 22-year-old dude that shaves his chest.
"Here you are, ladies."
"But, how will we ever repay you...."

I could just see this question coming up in an Economics class 30 years from now:
Student: "What caused the high rate of inflation experienced in 2009?"
Professor: "Well, it started when Congress bailed out the pornography industry..."
