We watched this too.
I am very surprised that he is still here. That is exactly what my Dad had and from onset of symptoms he was about 15 months........10 months from diagnosis and he was gone. I saw a lot of similarities in Patrick and my Dad.
God bless him for putting up a fight, my Dad did too.

A&E was showing Road House this afternoon and during commercials was promoting the new series The Beast which premieres Thursday at 10PM that stars Patrick. They were doing interviews with him about the show..he looks thin but pretty good considering all he's been through...and now this...Hope the docs can treat the pneumonia successfully.

One of the local radio dj's said that Swayze alluded to the fact at this point it doesn't matter. My ex FIL had cancer and knew his days were numbered. He tried to quit smoking but it was so hard that he looked at my MIL and told her he didn't want to go thru that hell just to die. So he didn't quit smoking. For some, the process of quitting smoking is very difficult. I guess I understand it and can relate because I'm a smoker who has quit many times, only to fail and I know how hard it is. I can completely understand the thought of why quit if it's not going to buy me any more time.

He was asked about this by Walters and he said that he had cut back, but at this point, it was not going to make a difference in whether he lived or not, and he had to fight one battle at a time.
