(I remember being in band in high school and standing on the sidelines getting ready to go on the field for the half time show and listening to those huge galluts crashing helmets into each other grunting and the sound of crunching bones. Yuk!)

The comic strip Peanuts ran for nearly 50 years without interruption and appeared in more than 2,600 newspapers in 75 countries. Charles Schulz died in Santa Rosa on February 12, 2000. The last original Peanuts strip ran the day after his death.

Schulz had been asked if, for his final Peanuts strip, Charlie Brown would finally get to kick that football after so many decades. His response: "Oh, no! Definitely not! I couldn't have Charlie Brown kick that football; that would be a terrible disservice to him after nearly half a century."

While obviously our very own BN Critters are about a dozen levels below Peanuts, they are most certainly influenced by them. Perhaps 50 years from now :roll: I'll go a different route than Schultz did and the Boobies will finally win that elusive championship. :D
