Slingin' Sammy Bradford still a Sooner!

Speaking just for Bradford's future, I think this is a wise move. If he had come out this year, yes, he'd've been a high pick and gotten millions. But would he have been ready to play if forced to start for the Lions, etc.? By sticking around another year he gains more valuable experience and maturity, and long term this will benefit him.

By sticking around at least one more year he increases the chances of long term NFL success, of becoming an Aikman, Peyton Manning or Dan Marino rather than a Harrington, Carr or Tim Couch.

Jermaine Gresham, Gerald McCoy and Trent Williams are also returning to Norman for the '09 season, and OU has a brilliant crop of young receivers, OLs and LBs ready to blossom. BOOMER SOONER!

He just thinks he's dodging the bullet that is The Lions... a year ain't gonna make a difference.

Sorry, but Slingin' Sammy has a superb arm -- he can make all the throws, according to every NFL person I've heard speak of him.

The Niners have a coach in Singletary. If he has to, he'll suit up and play in a close game. :)

I don't think the Lions get out of having their first round pick being the first pick next year either
