Any news on Australia or New Zealand show in the near future

I'm new to this thing, so bear with me.

I have been in New Zealand for just over 2 years now and am dying to see JB again (what would be my 12th show). Has anyone heard of a tour stop in either Australia or New Zealand? I have heard the rumors of Australia floating around but never anything in New Zealand. Any news?

He says he is coming to Australia and then never arrives - this has been going on for quite a few years - so I would not hold my breath if I were you

I guess at least there are rumors of him coming and that's something...I've never heard a mention on NZ before. I guess we'll just keep our fingers crossed and see what happens. Where would he play in OZ...Sydeny, Melbourne? Where are the big venues over there?

I was thinking that NZ didn't really have a venue big enough, but then looked up "The Shell" in Hawaii. Vector Arena is bigger than that by far and I've got to believe that would sell out. Who knows.

Probaby Syd and Bri ..... however - biggest known numbers to him of PH's in Australia are in Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast .... so who knows

I went to the concert last time Jimmy played in New Zealand and from memory it was about 1987. Said he'd come back but never has, well not to play a concert anyway.

Jimmy is not particularly well known in New Zealand, I'd say 99.9% of people would not have heard of him. He'd struggle to fill a big venue I'd think, but then again both concerts were sold out last time although it was a small venue.

He has a failrly strong following here ... in Australia ..... and would fill venues pretty quickly -particularly in Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. If he comes out - not that expensive these days to hop across the Tasman!

I agree...and more and more tours seem to be hitting both Oz and NZ. I hope that something happens though...this is the time of year where it stinks to be so far from the states. We'll just keep our fins crossed I guess.

It's great to see another NZer online here. Good on ya! Are you from here all along or an expat? It's also good to hear that JB was here before...even if it was 22 years ago. At least you're telling me we have a chance then! Giddy up!
