Tried that route already.
Much too stressful.
From now on I am limiting my existence to the "Who's going to Detroit" thread.
I'll try to get eight hours of sleep each day, eat "three squares", maybe get in 20 minutes of cardio, and then keep re-loading the thread looking for some action.

It's been a pretty boring 24 hours.
Maybe I'll give real life another shot.

Real Life is overrated big guy . . .We miss you in Chicago. Lots of great new toys for the parking lot.

Some day the Parrot-Dice Lounge will travel . . . Some day
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Ah, so sorry to disappoint you, Al!

Would you like a weather report or a Detroit reminiscence?

well, it was sunny and close to 50 yesterday (for about 20 minutes, but hey, we'll take what we can get at this point...).

Not sure what today will bring, but I may just wear something other than a turtle neck and long pants to work today...
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

It just goes to show you how bored I must have been!
Daughter's coming home from Chicago in a few hours.

Yes, you need a life.

Is it because the keets have flown the coop that things are so quiet?

Combine that and Detroit's 22% unemployment rate , and you get the picture.

Watched "Idol" tonight for the first time this season. Diane, I and micro Keet.
Kim's still not home yet.
Stevie rocked, Joss was mediocre.
The judges are still arrogant narcissistic fools.
I really should Tweet.

So, the less that's happening in one's life, the more one feels compelled to Twitter?
hmmm
I thought Facebook was bad enough!

Andy was only somewhat correct.
Everybody WILL be famous, but not just for 15 minutes.
Soon the entire population of the world will be famous all at the same time.
I'm gonna invent the next big thing that will allow that to happen.
Twittering will seem like snail mail pen pal-ing by comparison.

Is there anybody here but you and me?
I have to get back to work now, so you work on that Big Idea on your own for a while.

don't tell my family, but I have the kitchen window cracked a bit to let out the stale winter house air and let in some not quiet hot but much better than it has been spirng fresh air. It was something like 73 in the house and I was suffocating. I heard that it was nice today--didn't get outside much except to drive from one work area to another.....I hope it's nice tomorrow. I want to wander around and see if any of my crocuses (croci???) are venturing out yet......

it was a lot of fun--had fun at both Mvilles in Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman. I have admit that having a pool and water slide in the middle of a bar makes for a great adult playground.... :D Got to touch and kiss dolphins which was great as well. It was hot, humid, sunny, relaxing, and just too short. My tan is almost gone....I hate when it fades before the Discover bill gets here..... nothing worse than paying for a trip a few weeks after only to be pasty white again... :(

I'm in SE Michigan. My crocuses actually bloomed a couple weeks ago! I was in Florida at the time. It was nice to come home to see *some* sign of the warm weather. It kinda of cushioned the blow of returning to reality.
