Well, that sounds like a good time! is there room for our 55 person party bus there??Dr.Corona wrote:Depends when you want the party to start. There will be a core group at the "Park N Ride" Car-Pooling parking lot at the I-75/Sashabaw Rd. exit probably by 9:00 am or so. You can hang there for awhile & make a few new phriends.phi_sig23 wrote:
With all of that being said, what time does everyone plan on actually getting to tailgate? I have never been to DTE and all venues say they wont let people in until a certain time and they usually cave due to traffic
Well....during normal economic times I would say could be a problem. With SO MANY people currently being unemployed here in Michigan the Park N Ride may be a tad less congested.phi_sig23 wrote:Well, that sounds like a good time! is there room for our 55 person party bus there??Dr.Corona wrote:Depends when you want the party to start. I know. I think they went on sale in Feb? Too long to wait, though anticipation is half the fun.msu#1 wrote:Can you guys believe how long we have been sitting on these tickets?? I totally forgot we were one of the first shows announced until I pulled out the tickets and credit card slip yesterday.
My first time was at the Palace in November 2001. Low temp that night was 28 degrees. Got there around 5:00 pm so temp was probably about 40 or so & dropping into the night. Still was running around with only cargo shorts & Hawaiin shirt. WAS AWESOME!!!caly wrote:My first time was 6 hours in the rain at DTE ...................never had a better time in my life, but I would much rather have 85 and sunny!!!!!!phi_sig23 wrote:I know! that was a fun concert! It was Brendan's first; if you consider that I was pregnant with him at the time.....nothing like tail gating in mid winterIn the dark, with a few bonfires lit to help keep track of beach balls and snow banks. I don't care what anyone says, you haven't lived until you have done a Buffett concert in the dead of winter....it truly is fun!
BTW, we hope to make it to Detroit to play around in the parking lot if not the concert as well. Doc, you up to riding with us if we need a ticket to get us through the gates??? We will have a bathroom......
