Re: Who's going to Atlanta, April 16, 2009?
Ok I admit it, I'm weak......This concert is the day before my B'day, Jimmy's not going to tour forever, I've never sat closer than the 200 section......well.....today on ticketmaster I found seats 1 and 2 in section 103 row Q and just couldn't let them go. Actually I did but when I checked again they were still there. So now I've got my first two tickets to unload. They are in section 202 but I'll have to check the row and seat numbers when I get home. Anyone looking? I'm going to let them go for less than face value. Will post in ticket exchange later this evening or contact Spucketts@comcast.net.

Seems to be a lot of tickets available. Been pulling as many as 6 together in section 102 and pairs in section 101 and 103

I know it's over a week away but right now the weather looks like it'll be great. Rain for Monday and Tuesday with it being sunny and a high in the 70's on Weds. Hopefully that'll hold through Thursday.

I've watched some dicussions about the sour economy and how it has impacted ticket sales, prices, attenance, cutting back on the party, bla-bla-bla.......OK fine, the bad news is the world is ending, the good news is there's a party!coconuttelegraph wrote:spucketts wrote:The forecast is bouncing like the stock market, now partly sunny and 68.

I really need this one bad! F- the bailouts, the foreclosures, unemployment, repos, news media, politicians, this one day is ours away from all that crap.

Anyone hear what time the parking lots are going to open? I've tried calling Lakewood but all I get is a recording.

Per the LiveNation event page for the show the parking lot will open "early" at 4PM with a $20.00 charge for those parking before 5:30PM.spucketts wrote:Anyone hear what time the parking lots are going to open? I've tried calling Lakewood but all I get is a recording.
The line waiting to get in would be about a mile long by 4PM! They'll have to open earlier to keep pholks from tailgating on the street.

Theres no way they'll wait till 4. Last year at noon the streets were already blocked. And whats that note the you don't have to pay after 5:30?
They need to open at 9 like they used to.

Hey all, we're going to Atlanta for the first time (thanks to another friendly BN'er) and we're thinking about bringing our fifth wheel. Is this venue RV-friendly or should we just come up in our car?

If you are in line early then getting an RV into the gravel lot near the pond would work. The spots that can accomidate large vehicles usually fill fairly quick, but it is possible as several RV's will be there as well. I think they charge 40-50 for a vehicle and an RV if I am not mistaken, but still a good deal since the area around this venue is very sketchy. Hope to see you there and have safe travels.jons211 wrote:Hey all, we're going to Atlanta for the first time (thanks to another friendly BN'er) and we're thinking about bringing our fifth wheel. What is Lakewood thinking?
When did Lakewood decide to publicize the 4 pm gate time? After we bought all of our tailgating necessities, that's when.
Have you ever been to Atlanta? Rush hour starts between 3:30 and 4. That means that anybody trying to get in right at 4 will be stuck in horrendous Atlanta traffic. By the time you deal with that, find a parking space, and use the restroom, you've missed the opening act.

I've been to Lakewood a few times. Never go by what they advertise as lot times. Always get there early. As early as you want. Who cares? They can't stop you all. Wish I was going. Have fun all.JillMad@Lakewood wrote:When did Lakewood decide to publicize the 4 pm gate time? After we bought all of our tailgating necessities, that's when.
