Ok Mr Buffett, Martin's had enough to drank tonite...so here goes. Posting this in both Cincy & Detroit threads, just because you never know (I remember someone who got their request in Cincy last year -and he was a hell of a guy, as I recall... )

You don't know it, but HulaMoe & I came VERY late to the party - long time fans, but didn't really figger out the concert thang until Charleston & Balcony Girl got us going... although we've got 20+ shows in since that first show in October 2004 but...

The crux of this way-too-long post is, if that incredible PIA & Harp player turns up at either venue...you know who, Greg something or other...I personally would absolutely LOVE to hear the song "Island Fever" in concert...

I know you haven't changed the setlist a whole bunch this whole year - and I'm not complaining, 'cuz it's a good one, but what the heck - you don't ask, you don't get.

Otherwise, if you want to play "Mary had a Little Lamb" - that's cool, too -I'll be there to listen - whatever floats your boat, big guy! :D (Actually, I"d love to hear Peter's solo on that one)

Your Drunken Phan,

Marty

Can somebody give me directions to that PWI thread?

Weather Channel says:

Wednesday: 30% Isolated t-storms, high 79

Thursday: 60% Scattered t-storms, high 81

I can handle the rain chances and am VERY glad it won't be up in the 90's like last year. It was so hot and muggy, hardly anybody drank a lot of anything except ice water. Rain rain go away don't come to Cincy Thursday. [smilie=thatworks.gif] [smilie=party.gif]
As long as it doesn't rain for 3 days prior and all day of the concert like Buckeye Lake in 94, we should be ok. But then the craziest mud slidin views and muddin adventures I've ever seen happened that day! I've got gear and 4 wheel drive so let it rain.......
i was there too! it was a unique show to say the least......

i miss jimmy at buckeye lake ALOT
Yes, one of my favorites other than the burning volcano!!! Agreed, I will always treasure the concerts at Buckeye Lake!!
no plastic a$$ back then and the burning volcano that is one of mine. i dont know where i am going, crap the volcano is really on fire

Okay, its noon here in Cincy and it is 77 degrees, humidty is 76% so it feels like 80 degrees. It poured down rain yesterday and chance of showers tonight, tomorrow, Sunday, Monday, Tueday and every day through next Saturday.

However, The (current) Concert forecast for the Riverbend area....is

Wednesday Aug 05, Isolated T-Storms
High 80°F
Low 65°F
Chance of Precip 30 %

Thursday, Aug 06 - Scattered T-Storms
High 80°F
Low 64°F
Chance of Precip 40 %

So things are looking up. Put on your party hat!

With a week to go, I like seeing a rainy forecast. Cuz I know it will be the exact opposite by the time concert day arrives. 8)

And if it's hot, I don't mind a little rain. As long as it's not an all-day event.
