I have a question that that maybe no one has the answer to just yet, but I've been playing around with the livenation site looking at the tickets that are already on sale for NC. They include a $6.00 "Parking Fee" on each ticket???? I then looked on EBay to see if anyone is buying these tickets from scalpers, and in the ticket listing they are saying "Parking included with ticket". So I'm wondering if this will be the year that you'll have to show a ticket for each person in your car instead of paying the nice people $10-20 to park. This could cause problems for our group as usually 1 or 2 people have all the tickets and then we hand them out in the lot. We have people come in from all over PA and OH and we just meet in the lot. Just wondering if anyone knew for sure if that was going to be the case, kind of make since, if livenation owns the venue that they could charge the parking fee in the ticket and not have to pay people to collect the money in the lots before the shows. I might have to mail out everyone's tickets before the show this year. going to post this to the main board also and see if anyone knows for sure.

Welcome CRS & OBX

I would not worry about the 'parking' fee. The Ampitheater is owned by Post-Gazette Newspaper. Every year you see a posting about you have to have a ticket to get in...well many pick up at Will-Call others buy at the lot.

Get online at least 10 minutes prior to the sales starting...your clock may not be the same as their clock.

In my signature line there is information about The Pittsburgh Show. I will update it this weekend, check back often, get your hotel rooms now...depending on where you are coming from will depend on where you stay.

Stacey (Landshark girl) has a big group and they stay at a local campground as do many others. There is a Holiday Inn in Weirton WVa about 20+ mins away. The Steel City Fins (Pgh-PHC) blocks a whole hotel in Kennedy Twp about 30+ mins away, there is a huge party the night before that is LOADS of fun with Tom Watt (www.buffettman.com)

Again welcome - you will find a wealth of information here!

Hey all! Making a change this year...after staying at Bennett Acre's Campground for the last five years we're going to stay in a hotel this year. I can't remember which one, but it's in Weirton, WV. I'll ask my friend what the name is and post it to see if anyone else is staying there.

But, if anyone needs information on camping close to Post Gazette Paviliion, let me know. I can help you out.

Can't wait for the show! I'm really over this Ohio winter we've been having, so, I'm ready for some Jimmy, sun, and fun...luckily I'm going to Key West in March, so, I have something to tide me over till June 23rd! :D

where is the Baymon??? There are a couple of hotels pretty close together, you might be right near the Holiday inn.
I like the Holiday inn personally, decent outdoor pool, and I think it is the closes to the PGP..... only about 7 or 8 miles I think.

(half hour or so outside of downtown Pitt....)

last year they wouldnt let us in as early, so we hung out in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn weirton where we were staying, and then headed over. The Holiday Inn is closest I think??......

For the parking thing, I doubt that they will just include the parking fee in the ticket and then not have people parking the cars....... I could only imagine what that would go like without anyone directing people where to go..... lol...... maybe they wont have people collecting $$ when puling in, but they will definitely have people directing the traffic.

What roads and how fast are you driving?

Town from StarLake is at least 40+mins WITHOUT traffic and construction

Okay I have some hotels and 2 camp grounds listed....

The best way to find something close if you are doing any shopping go to:

http://www.switchboard.com Look up Post-Gazette Pavillion, Burgettstown, PA Click on What's Near By....Go to Lodging and there you go!

Raccoon Creek State Park Campground is nice. About 5 minutes from PGP without traffic, 20 with preconcert traffic. It's literally one turn from the pavilion. We’re in site E 28. Stayed there the past 6 years and counting. Come join the fun. There's parrotheads throughout. It’s about 52 dollars to stay for two nights!

Hi,
Browse here frequently. I've got a question that someone must be able to answer. Ticketmaster sent me an e-mail this morning that JB tickets would be going on sale on Monday at 10AM. Live Nation is showing the same thing. Last week, Margaritaville redirected Pgh. ticket buyers to Live Nation. Now it directs you to TM. So does anyone know for sure who is selling the tickets for PGP on Monday morning. I've heard that TM just directs you to ticketsnow.
Thanks for any info!

I bought Tickets for Cincy this morning (got 6, so a group of us from Pittsburgh will be making the move west for 3 days in Aug). Livenation crashed around 9:30am, before the tickets even went on sale. When the site did come back up it just redirected you back to ticketmaster to get the tickets for Cincy. Same thing for Great Woods and the other shows that went on sale today. I've sent an e-mail to livenation to find out if they are really selling tickets on Monday for the Pittsburgh show or if we should just go right to Ticketmaster @ 10:00am. If I had to guess right now I'd say just go to Ticketmaster and wait there until 10:00am and try to get tickets that way. I'll post back any answer I get from livenation about the Monday ticket sales.

Always start at least 10 mins prior the sale time!

I would long on to Ticketmaster first....or have the other up and try TM....I'm going to bet LN will not have it together on Monday!
