Anyone staying at Alpine Valley Resort Fri. & Sat.? Any news if there is anything going on at the resort Friday night in the way of pre parties?

I don't think there's anything formal going on at the resort before the show. The annual Alpine Meeting of the Mindless party ended (for unknown reasons?) a year ago. We attended what turned out to be the final party in '07 and had an absolute blast partying with the Beach Bum Band until the wee hours of the night out there!!!

I'm pretty sure all the action Friday night is at Hemmingway's (Parrothead Ball) in Lake Geneva or the Two Season's Bowl in Elkhorn.

Hell, I'm a meteorologist and do not trust the forecast until it happens.

we are staying at the resort and probally going to Hemmingways on Friday night. We are getting there Thursday and doing some scuba diving in the area early on Friday if anyone is interested.

We are down in Texas, missed the show this year, and are coming up to Alpine Valley next week to party Wisconsin Style!! Just wanted to say hi to everyone and I am looking forward to meeting all of you. We hope to go to one of the Pre Parties Friday night. See you there!!

Quick Question. I just convinced my sister and her Husband to come to the show. They will be driving up in a 42 foot Motor home. Can anyone give me info on the Motor Home Parking at Alpine? I think it is the Limo Lot, right? And from reading past posts, the lot opens around 1:00??? How late can you pull out? Can you stay there overnight? Or is there a place close by for over night? Since I have never been to Alpine Valley, any info would be great. Thanks!!!

There's a state park with camping on the east shore of Lake Geneva (the lake), just outside of Lake Geneva (the town), called "Bigfoot Beach" ... or at least there used to be. You might want to check and see if they would have space available.

Don't know what they would have in terms of RV hookups/facilities. You may have to go 'self-contained' for a night and run off battery or generator power.

Welcome Texas phlock!! If you are coming to the party at Hemingways Friday, you are more than welcome to stay overnight there, we have others who do that. No TV/water/electric hook up but am sure the staff will help you out since it is likely they will be there 72 hours straight
