i'm sorry but us sox fans are nothing compared to yanks fans. it was brutal growing up in nj being a sox fan. i think the thing that gets any non yankee fan the most is the way that the yank fans just don't let up, they're loud, and have a holier than thou attitude. now, that being said, it's a generalization and i know not all fans are that way.

Sorry but i have seen bad apples on both sides of the Yankees/Sox fence....and usually then end up ruining it for the people who worked very hard for the money to buy those tickets...i will NEVER go to another game between the 2 teams again because of the bad behavior i saw the last time.

i understand what you're saying. before dave and i got together i dated a guy who was one of those a-holes who would shout things out at the opposing teams players..or their fans. i hated it. the behavior that comes out of the wood work when those 2 teams meet is really bad.i won't go to yankee stadium anymore since i'm such a minority. one is just asking for trouble.

last Yanks/Sox game i went to a few years ago at Yankee Stadium there were fans of both sitting in our row and the row behind us...my friend Bob and i sat next to a Sox fan with his little boy(about 4 or 5 years old) the 2 groups (in the late 20's-early 30's) started arguing, cursing and spilling beer all over the place......i told them to knock it off, they started yelling, scared the poor little boy and the police came. one of them happened to be a cop that i knew, needless to say the A-holes were ALL thrown out Yanks and Sox fans. The father of the little boy bought me a beer and thanked me for saying something...one of the A-holes had the nerve to say that he should not have brought a kid to a baseball game!!! WTF??? we had a nice time after that but i am done...

regarding the sox, they'll be in atlanta at the tail end of a bunch of interleague games on 6/27, so there shouldn't be too much active fan conflict going on. although they will have played the yanks 2 weeks prior...

I agree that there are idiots on both sides. I am for teasing the other fans but not to the point of threats to one's life or what is written here about the kid.

However, I think the plan is to go to Nantucket on Friday.

I'm wearing my Boat Drunks T shirt that Howie gave me this morning. 2nd time I've worn it since Maine, and everytime I take it out to wear it or even see it sitting in the drawer, it makes me smile remembering that weekend.
Can't wait for my new BD t-shirt to come, the one with the Convention Date on the back.

They were selling them at their show, with CDs and stickers. I got both of their CDs, a Euro, and the new T shirt, that todd told me they will be mailing out once they actually get them.
I just went to their site to see if they had a picture of it but they don't. They do have ringtones, so I downloaded "calling in Gone" to my laptop. Later I'm going to download to my phone and make it the ringtone for all the BNers...told Marilyn it's fitting, as when I hear that ring, I'll normally be planning on getting in trouble with y'all somehow.
