Dang. They were already on sale this time last year because I got them for Mrs. DQ for Mother's Day. Here's hoping they go on sale a Saturday after a payday.

2007 concert tickets went on sale in June the week of the Pittsburgh Concert!
Last year was end of April or first of May

I'm just hopign I'm not working the day they go on sale!

I'm hearing May or June for tix...this will be final meltdown to wedding time. If anyone gets the first hint, please pm me asap so I can respond. I'm not sure how much I can keep up with this right now. Aaaaccckkk! (That's what Piratenurse sounds like when she's having a meltdown.) Since apparently no one will lift a finger to help me with this wedding, with the exception of Mike's nieces who are providing wedding cakes and beer, I need all your help here to keep me on track. I want those good tix from last year. Any news of sale date, please inundate me with pms in case I don't make it through the pages. I am at 5 weeks to D-day (wedding day) with huge amounts of work not done and a lot of volunteers disappearing (including my own matron of honor), work and staff suxing, kids suxing, Mike's situation suxing, wedding plans suxing....whine, whine. Ok, I'm done. Keep me up to speed, my loverly PH peeps! If I'da had a brain in my head, we would have done the drive through wedding chapel in Vegas. Gosh darn that huge Polish family expecting a real wedding and just because their dear little Mikey has turned 50 before tying the knot. I am definitely spinning plates now!

Last year, both October Vegas shows went on sale April 28. It must be coming soon. Someone keep an eye on it daily, please!!!

I wouldn't worry too much about tickets....they will be plentiful this year as the broker business is hurting. If you look on stubhub now for tix to the 5/16 show, there are 484 different listings. Some of these are already listed for under face value and you can bet that many more people will look to minimize losses as the show approaches. Brokers will not be buying hundreds of tickets when they are released (as each of them has normally done in the past) and I wouldn't even be shocked if the October shows don't even sell out.

To get the best seats, you need to wait til the day of the show. Thats what I do every year and always end up with tickets I could never find on ticketmaster (and the market for buyers has never been better than it will be this year)

Since this will be our first Vegas show.............what are the 'good' seats? I know in some venues, up front is not necessarily best........not sure if I will pay over 150 each anyway so may not be able to get the good seats

just wait outside the arena as the crowds coming in...there's always phans who had people bail just looking to sell extras (I've even had them offered to me for free)....and than there's the brokers looking to unload extras. The best deals are available about 5 minutes before show time when you can usually find great seats than for about 50% of face value. I know it sounds dangerous to make the trip without tickets in hand....but after doing it as many years as I have, I can't imagine doing the Vegas show any other way.

This is just a different point of view on the ticket issue- and please, it's just my humble opinion.
For me my favorite "no worries" method is to just get the best tickets available ($69 or $106) as soon as they're on sale from TM - I go down to our local Ticket Master outlet here in our town (no lines, no busy signals, etc.) I get the tickets within 10 minutes of going on sale and I don't ever worry about them again. My feeling is as long as we're in the concert hall and I'm with a group that embraces the stand up and get with it mentality it's all good. The concert is just one element of the Jimmy in Vegas Experience.

Now I've purchased Jimmy tickets every way possible- private sale (at the Street Party, old Theme Park, MGM Pool Party), from BN Ticket Exchange, TM on line, etc. and Deano is right -you can get some pretty good deals on these last minute private sales, no doubt. But if you just want to get to Vegas and ride that easy wave from Friday to Sunday without that ticket issue looming- you might want to just get it taken care of right out of the gate- so you can enjoy the multitude of experiences allowed you by the Jimmy in Vegas Experience.

Just my opinion...now I'll just shuffle my way back to my Second Weekenders Vegas thread---where you'll find some pretty cool Parrot Head YouTube videos if you're interested... Phins Up!
