This is a copy from a post I wrote on FFF III. I'm not above milking all phin power I can get, even though you guys must be getting a little sick of it. I've had a couple of great, easy years....my dark side always waits for the other shoe to drop. Oh, what's that? Did I hear a thump?

Can you all believe my wonderful virgin just fired me? After I begged for weeks to not take calls on this last Friday office holiday to do wedding stuff, she would not help me with it. Did I mention she was my matron of honor for the wedding in 35 days from now and has never lifted a finger to arrange anything? Good news, I have a traveling consulting job for my old boss already in the works (7 years later and she is begging for me. Can we say window opening when door shuts?). Will be much better for me. I can't work 18 hours a day forever. Pray my loyal employees get their next paycheck. It's all good with me, besides g*d forbid I go in the office and steal something after 4 years of keeping the company running. I know they are making me have a guard with me. My prediction, they cave in 90 days. Sounds like a personal problem to me. Can you believe people? I've dealt with this kind of cr*p for over 20 years...this one's a little different. I thought she was my best friend and was my matron of honor. You can imagine the last minute wedding scramble now. No one that worked for me would dare to show up to the wedding now, they are in a very difficult position. My fiance's niece is picking up, despite her intense personal and physical situation, bless her heart. Someone visualize a huge machete in Piratenurse's back. It's ok, guys...I already have plan B in place and Mike is loving and supportive. It just ouches, to say the least. Thanks for being a free therapist group and I promise to be much more upbeat next post. Just asking for your awesome phin power...jeez, I keep doing that a lot lately!

I'm sending a lot of fin power your direction. Yah, this would ouch, but in the end, you will be better off without this negative force in your life as you will only be dragged down. Better for this to happen now then after your wedding, because it would have been awful to have fake friends stand up for you at your wedding. Hang in there and keep the faith.

Ok, I am behind, and lazy and have never been to Vegas. We have been to Frisco the last two years and have been told Vegas is the next best party. So we are looking to go. Where are the best places to stay and be close to the action. I need help!!! As soon as we make our decision I will sign us up on the list for VFW!!!

Onnly one option...Flamingo! That's where most of us will be and the heart of the action.Book now, rates are great, best in years, but climbing. You can always cancel later. Do it now or you will regret it, right Karat?

Of course, being Las Vegas you have a lot of hotel options that are close to the heart of all the action. A lot of people stay at the Tropicana, the Impurial Palace, Hooters, ETC. However, I prefer to take the easiest way possible and be right in the epicenter of all the action. Thanks to this thread, I have my room booked at the Flamingo. I also got a good deal flying American Airlines. Now all that needs to happen is for the Buffett tickets to go on sale, and I will be set. I'm staying at the Flamingo for the May 16 show as well.

I am not picking on mis-spelling, but I ave to say this is the perfect misspelling for the Imperial Palace...it is very impure...scuz city

Ooooooops! Oh well. I've been typing reports all day, and the dictionary in my brain really wants to go on strike. The Imperial Palace is scanky, cheap, and that is why folks stay there, but sleaze city indeed.

Last fall, I came out to Las Vegas for the October 25 Buffett show. Now I had never been to Las Vegas before, so I thought that staying at the MGM Grand would be easiest since the concert was there and all. Well, it turned out to be rather inconvenient, because I spent most of my time at the Flamingo. The MGM Grand was nice, and Ms Sammie dog and I were treated very well, but I think we will be treated just as kindly at the Flamingo.

Well I got my room :) Flamingo for 55/105/105... Better not wait, I've a feeling that they're going to be more expensive this year (of course I can always cancel if I get a better offer...)

(Now to wait until the tickets go on sale :D)

Did you enter your players card number before booking? The room rates will be lower if you use the card.

CALL ON THE PHONE, do not do it online....much easier and the staff is nice to work with - especially if you give them compliments, wish them a happy day...thank them.... blah blah blah!

Mine was over the phone and I told her I had a players card...of course it depends on you play as well!

Actually I haven't used my "Harrah's" card in a few years :(
(But since I'm going out there in July, maybe I can score enough points to get a better rate... :) )
