It wasn't even a real tit so who am I to criticize.

When you set your standards and expectations too high you get let down alot . . . better to take what life gives . . . even if its a nasty woman with beer bong boobs . . . .

Come to think of it there was still beer involved and I drank it so it was a win . . . .

Summerlover wrote:Ryan, I just booked for Sat. night. I called to see if there was a chance the hotel bar would be open when we return to the hotel for a nightcap. Sounds like they will depending on how long it takes to get out of the lot.

Matt, the girls aren't sure if they will be going. Two would like to go. They are "pumpkin widows" in the fall due to husbands type of work. My Jimmy will be my date for the night.

Oh ya Matt I have to check but the pics are supposed to be sent tonight. I will forward them....
We only booked Sat night as well. Just wanted to make sure. I am curious how this shuttle works. If they don't have to park in the lot, we may be able to get out right away.

I am curious how the shuttle works as well. I wonder how soon it leaves for the show and if it will just drop us off or if it will be in the lot to tailgate at all. I guess they have 6 months to put everything together and work out the details....

New hotel, so I don't think anyone has the answers at this point. I can't imagine the hotel would allow their shuttle to remain in the lot for tailgating, and I am not sure we can expect the shuttle to get folks there as early as some will want.

I guess the pals we are road tripping with set up the hotel reservations at the Holiday Inn Express as well. We'll be there sometime Friday night. I wonder if my liver will survive this well deserved overdue binge :) I guess I better start training, huh?

We are going to drive to the venue anyway, even if there is a shuttle. I don't want to bother with trying to shuttle our cooler as well as have to carry it around.

Dumb question, but since I'm used to Detroit where they don't "do" porta potties, does this venue have porta potties in the parking lot? I would hope so, but figured it was worth asking so I know if I need to bring along our little potty from the boat :)

They had a boat load last year, my wife brings her potty anyway. Kinda OCD.

I agree that the hotel probably wouldn't want their shuttle sitting in the parking lot for the entire event...it would be cool if they did though. We have some time to get answers though. I was thinking about bringing one of those classy styrofoam coolers and then just tossing it before I go into the show, I'm sure we will have no trouble emptying it by show time.

Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express are two different facilities--the shuttle is with the Holiday Inn.

Tons of porta potties, and they even cleaned them during the day-we were amazed!

Did my Village come looking for me??? I know I know the difference between the Holiday Inn and the HI Express, but sometimes my brain doesn't fire on all cylinders.... Never mind me, that's why I have "people" I guess. :)

Thanks for the info on the porta potties. Makes planning to tailgate all day a bit easier to do. We usually take the RV to Detroit, but when I saw the price for RV parking in Chicago, I decided that we weren't gonna drive it down just to have the bathroom. Our gear will just hafta fit in the truck (we are still working out the logistics for the pool. They are too much fun to have to NOT bring it.....)

How many days????? [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif] Well, I need to get off the darn computer and get some valentine cupcakes made for the 1st grade Valentines Party tomorrow afternoon. It's hard to get motivated on cloudy days like this...

Wow...I haven't played twister of any sort for years. Could be amusing.

A good game of Truth or Dare or a round of spin the bottle could be fun to. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

YIKES! Truth or Dare.

I think that a Scavenger Hunt would be down right fun. Make a list of things to find, such a "earn beads" "get leid" "sacrifice a virgin" etc.

Can be somewhat digital--find a Parrothead from another state--get cell pic with proof, person/group who finds the farthest away parrothead gets so many points...

We usually make impromptu scavenger hunts throughout the day. One time we went on a search to find someone under the age of 25 who could tell us what a "pop top" is and why it would cut your heel. It was actually hilarious some of the looks we got.

We usually do this as a virgin initiation, make them get groups of people together to sing Margaritaville, etc. Require they walk around and get all the ingredients for a Cheese burger in paradise and bring it back to grill, etc. You know, simple things to amuse us and indoctrinate them into the whole tail gate experience.

I like this idea....gets you moving thru the lot and meeting everyone.

Yes, Truth or Dare could be alittle on the edge but I think it could be very amusing.

another thing we did, in Chicago a zillion years ago as a matter of fact... is one of our pals made up big SALT signs and was passing them out. Well, we decided to see what we could get people to do in order to get one of the signs. We came up with this story that we were working for Buffett and that he was planning to randomly pull people onto the stage during Margaritaville, but only if you had one of these signs...

so, we convinced a few young women who had probably had one or two too many refreshments, to pop their tops in order to earn a sign. We had people lined up to "try out." It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. My husband couldn't believe how many girls I talked out of their shirts for these dumb signs. In one case, a girl looked at her boyfriend and said "should I?" and he told her to do what she wanted. She popped her top and he said "HEY! I haven't even seen those yet!"

Ahhhhhhhh, good times; good times... But of course, that was back in my younger days before I outgrew that kind of foolishness.....

I just played twister last night! Might as well add 7 minutes in heaven to the list of activites. Since we don't have a closet I guess the porta potty will have to do.
