No, you will be able to walk over there without a problem. We just felt that Matt is going to have such an enormous crowd, just with his own group, that we should make other arrangements as well. And, because I am still recovering from an accident, I am not sure how likely I am to schlep over to his set-up, as great as it will be.

Not hard at all. Its the Southeast corner of the lot. Depending on where you are in the lot is could be a short jaunt or an expedition . . . . It's just one known spot that will be easy for all to find . . . .

Hey Matt, great idea for the tailgate. Thanks for the e-mail. We are staying at the Holiday Inn that is providing a shuttle so your offer is making us rethink just using the shuttle.
Anyone else staying at the Holiday Inn-Midway???
I talked to someone in sales about the shuttle. She said they hadn't had their meeting about all the details but was quite open to suggestions and would like me to call her back.
I was curious as we we would arrive in Bridgeview early to tailgate. She wondered what time people would be wanting to be shuttled to the venue etc. What do some of you think?
I would like to take advantage of the "cheeseburger and margarita" offer so we are thinking of arriving about 1pm. Hopefully our room would be ready. She was really open to ideas so if anyone staying at the Holiday Inn has any, offer them up.

Getting closer..........
Lots of us are staying at the Holiday Inn, which as you probably know, is in a complex of 7 or 8 small hotels. The Holiday Inn is new this year, so it is new to all of us (though some of us will also stay there the first weekend as well).
I think many of us (at least those of us who tailgated together last year) will go over to the venue long before 1PM to get a good spot, and to start in nice and early. It might make sense for the hotel to run shuttles every couple of hours, though I intend to drive as there's stuff I want to have with me that I will want to leave in my car.

Ejr, I don't think we can make it to the area much earlier than 1pm, then again...........
What parking lot does your caravan like to set up in, what time will you all venture to the venue and are you meeting at the Holiday Inn? We will probably have to drive also but like the idea of the shuttle.
How about after the concert when we all arrive back at the hotel? Anywhere there for after concert drinks?
Anyone interested in the shuttle?
The hotel would like to know how often to run it as they have to share the shuttle for airport runs also.

Not sure on the time yet-we'll get that worked out and posted, but last year, we were in the same lot that the premium parking will be in, and our group was situated just opposite Gate D (http://www.toyotapark.com/uploads/files ... ett_09.pdf).
Keep checking here for the details, and we'll also have Matt post them on the first page of the thread to make them easy to find.

Nice map of the parking. I thought I'd seen one before but with your post I need not look any further. I'll keep watching for your updates.
Matt we wouldn't miss your show.................it ought to be pretty spectacular!!!
The show is coming up fast.........maybe a little too fast. Summer has pretty much sucked till the last few weeks. Now the rain!!!! It is letting up though. Have a safe one.
Hello pholks...... Can't believe it's already July 4th! Hope y'all are well.
Know I haven't been my 'usual' self this year. I do smile just a bit whenever I hear a Jimmy song...and that reminds me, if only for a minute...that life is ok. Hope to see you on the 15th!

okay never had this happen before. Seems my tailgate momentum is fizzling. Life stressing me out and seems I am finding myself not cheering up much as the countdown gets closer. C'mon party people. Need me some happy. Help me find my lost shaker of fun.

hellllllllllllllllllllooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww parrotheads. How's it hanging? I'm just shivering here in Michigan (and to think I put the winter gear away a few weeks ago believing summer was finally here....HEH! Had gloves and coats out for fireworks last weekend. How stupid is that?)
Anyhoo, just doing a quick fly by to see if anyone here is going to both shows and also follows the BN Critters series. I signed up to have Duckett hang with me in Detroit and Chicago, but we aren't headed to the DTE show this year. So if anyone will be at both shows and would want to host Duckett that would resolve a whole lotta travel issues for him.
Well, off to finish morning chores before prepping the RV for a week of camping. I hope it warms up--can't quite get my head around running an RV furnance in July....
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......
we should be there by then, and we are staying at the Holiday Inn---we are up to a gathering, depending on where it is.....(keep in mind we are tourists so please be kind....)

Take the "El" to Midway . . . that will get you close . . . but even close around Midway could be sketchy

Just found out, this one guy is really excited to meat a bunch of BN'ers
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.
