Colorado..that last slap in the face!

Widespread Panic, TOOL and The FRAY do not a Jimmy Buffett make.

The Mile High Music Festival will NOT feature JB.

Oh well.

Probably easier to work under that assumption that Jimmy will never come back instead of being disappointed every year with news he'll be skipping over our great state yet again.

Yep.
5 years have gone by..
Didn't expect Red Rocks.
Hoped for Fiddlers Green again since Red Rocks is such a long shot.
But not even the Pepsi Center (not a first choice).

Ah well. :)

Note to Jimmy:

Those of us who go through LONG, REAL WINTERS are usually extra enthusiastic to celebrate you when you come to perform during the Spring/Summer Months when we are still trying to thaw out from the long winter.

===================================================================================

I also wasn't really expecting Red Rocks, but one could always hope.

Five Years and no show? For whatever reason, Jimmy has written Colorado off.

Changing my vote from DISAPPOINTED to MAJORLY DISAPPOINTED.

I opted out of getting Springsteen Tickets (He's coming to Denver!) in favor of saving money for hope that JB would be coming. I am almost certain they'll add another Springsteen Date for Denver (the schedule allows for it at the moment and Springsteen SOLD OUT The Can in less than ten minutes today), but, again, a big group of us were holding out hope SUMMERZCOOL would be coming to celebrate in Denver!

Some of us cannot afford to travel out of state for shows. When you wait another year for some good news and you don't get it, one has every right to be disappointed. Majorly Disappointed.

And......................................Breathe In, Breathe out. You know the rest.

Bummed on the mountain top,

I have to agree. Major Bummer that he is not coming to CO. I travelled to Vegas in 2006 and 2007. Last year I went to JazzFest in New Orleans. These were all my vacations so I could see the ultimate "vacationer."

Due to the economy, I can't take those vacations this year. I was saving for this one concert and really thought he was due to come back to Denver. I wonder what Colorado did to not warrant consideration for one night of Jimmy?

I didn't even ask for days off from work yet this Summer as I was going to plan to take days off around him coming here.

I guess I will take the money I was saving and buy Kenny Chesney Tix in Cheyenne for Frontier Days.
:(

I'm out for the day and I return 12 hours later to see all of the dates listed.

Disappointment to say the least that the Mile High Parrotheads are being ignored again.

Congrats to those who got what they wanted.
Ryan, we thought about you last night when we saw the tour dates. Man, we feel for you. We know you are a huge phan as are so many others up there. We hope you get a show up your way soon!

Thanks Wayne.

Came on here first thing this morning to make sure it wasn't a bad nightmare.

Unfortunately, still true.

Oh well. Aside from the obvious factor of money (although I think JB is doing okay in the money department), it boggles my mind how JB and the Reefers can constantly ignore THE BEST OUTDOOR VENUE IN AMERICA year in and year out.

They would sound BETTER at Red Rocks than at any other venue in America, guaranteed!

Alright. Have said enought. Disappointment is exactly that.

Will shift gears now and start deciding who else I want to see this Summer.

Fins at half mast in Colorado today,

If he wasn't gonna play Red Rocks, I decided I wouldn't be too bummed if he didn't come here. We have other stuff planned for our fun money this year, so it isn't really an imposition on us. Seems like the product that is Jimmy Buffett has slipped in quality the last few years, so I really don't feel like I'm missing much. I can listen to the songs I want to hear at my own house, rather than clinging to the hope he'll play "the good stuff" at one of his shows.

With one exception, and that is wishing I could goto Seattle to see him this year, that would be mostly a trip to see my BN Mom. :D

Well, one thing's for sure......if Jimmy does ever decide to do Red Rocks again, you can bet your ass I will be there! (even though it's 2,000 miles away)

Eeegads. Cheap flights and cheap drinks in Vegas are old school. You don't really see much of the "free" stuff that there used to be in Vegas.

Some one started a, "What would you ask Jimmy?" thread.

My response was, "Why don't you release the concert dates all at once? Instead of a few at a time."

Well, now that we have that, I realize my real question would be, "Why no Colorado dates?" --I know he's been to Aspen a couple times since his last BIG show in Denver....and they count...sorta....but why no Denver?? Did we do something wrong?

Or is it Kroenke Sports Enterprise's? Since they own the Pepsi Center and co-own Dick's Sporting Goods Park ---which I think would be an absolutely great place for Jimmy....just like Frisco, Texas, a soccer venue is outdoors and yet has more seats than Red Rocks (I know the penny counters are counting seats too).

If Kroenke is the problem, please let us know.

thanks Jimmy!! We love you!!

If Jimmy ever plays Colorado again, I think I would go. I've never been and I think it would be a good show to travel to. I think a lot of other people from around the country would go too.

I really am surprised he hasnt played a (regular) show there in 5 years.

Dick's was my thought too. I hate the Pepsi Center. Maybe Jimmy doesn't want to play the Can (it's a pretty crappy concert venue) and doesn't know about Dick's? Maybe he's holding out for the Mile High Music Festival? :-?

I was pretty drunk the last time he played Denver. Maybe I said or did something I shouldn't have and that's why he isn't coming back. Sorry everyone.
