I guess I'll have to settle for some distant show since I probably won't make it down the road to see him in Charlotte.

But I even cleaned up all the dog crap out of my back yard. There is a little hill right behind the pond that would make a great stage. Ba$tard!

I hear Frisco is nice around the end of April. Is the pond big enough for a jet ski?land_shark3 wrote:But I even cleaned up all the dog crap out of my back yard. There is a little hill right behind the pond that would make a great stage. Ba$tard!

Yeah.. living in Boise I feel your pain..puablo wrote:My problem is the vast, vast quantity of weekday shows. I live in Cleveland, and I can never go anywhere but Chicago for these shows. This year I'm also making the trek to Philly for the Camden, NJ Saturday show. But with Detroit, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh tantalizingly close but impossible with the weeknight shows, it's pretty frustrating.

ok.. I can accept that I am pretty lucky that I have the ability to hit the road and see shows as far away as Dallas, Raleigh, or points in between.. no kids and a decent wage do that.ragtopW wrote:Yeah.. living in Boise I feel your pain..puablo wrote:My problem is the vast, vast quantity of weekday shows. what I don't understand is the whining when there are 3-4 venues within 4 hours. (and no, I am not talking about Boise, I am talking about the perennial grumbling/grumping/pi$$ing and whining when the tour is announced and Cleveland isn't on it, but Indy, Pittsburgh, and Cinci are. I have to travel to Cinci and I look forward to it every year. )
for those of you from CLV, quit. just quit. make the trip. once you get west of Chicago every year, the distance to a tour venue is pretty big. consider yourselves lucky a 3 hour drive is all you have to make if you want to see Buffett. S U C K it up and get in the car and drive. Boise is 6 hours from Dallas by plane, KW is 17 hours from Livingston, MT. Clevelanders come off as whiney little kids not getting their way with the usual posts.

I wouldn't know anything about flying into HOU, renting a car, and hitting the road at 930 on a Saturday morning to be in Dallas by 1215p and trying to find fun in Frisco...Mr Play wrote:Never thought I'd say this, but wR2s![]()

What the f*** are you talking about? One post from a "Clevelander" and it had nothing to do with the crap you trotted out.RinglingRingling wrote:ok.. Re: The "He didn't pick my venue" thread
I should clarify:
this was directed to the posters from Cleveland every year who come on the board and complain that Buffett doesn't show them any respect by not scheduling a stop in CLV when there are usually several stops on the tour within easy travel distance. It wasn't directed at the gentleman who actually does travel for shows; the sentiments are for the folks who seem to think that unless he is their backyard/home venue, Buffett somehow slighted them without thinking they're not the only ones who aren't graced with a stop.
and the thread itself has wandered from the original intent: consolidating all the "he doesn't respect his fans because Jimmy didn't schedule a show less than 30 miles away from my house" threads into one place.
That said, I am done.

I heard that as well. The wife is taking a girls' trip in May, maybe I can make a guys' trip in April.Mr Play wrote:I hear Frisco is nice around the end of April. Is the pond big enough for a jet ski?
And yes, the pond would be big enough until you fired up the jet ski. One blip of the throttle and my pond would then be empty.

Re: The "He didn't pick my venue" thread
ok. I'll bite.
I am sad to see that jimmy did not do some sort of gulf coast venue, somewhere in alabama maybe?
Tampa is close enough to drive to. Atlanta is a bit of a trek. Forget raleigh and charlotte. The only reason NC was on for last year was because I had family in the area. I won't be doing the 10 hour drive again though.
With the exception of tampa (which is a 4 hour drive) there are no others on the ENTIRE schedule within a comfortable drive.
I am glad to see jimmy is doing some west coast dates as I feel that the west coast has been slighted in recent years.
But so is the south.
All the shows are within a week of each other but way too far for roadtrips. more than half the shows are on weeknights AND if you are going to one... basically you can't go to the others because of driving with the proximity of dates. virginia, north carolina, ohio, the entire north east, new york, the midwest... all get SEVERAL dates.
The entire south gets two spaced 9 hours (driving time) apart.
