I'm curious what team is going to pick up that headache. I'm a Bills fan and we already have ours for the season, T.O.
I got a feeling that even if the Bills wanted him he wouldn;t sign with them.....I'm sure he wants out of the state of NY.
We may not have to worry about which team might be willing to give him a chance. The night he shot himself in the leg he was carrying an unlicensed handgun. In NY, that's supposed to be mandatory jail time.
Good point..he may be playing in the NY Penal League

You know you can't use "win" and the "Bengals" in the same sentence.
See once again why the Redskin fans are wrong.

The Cowboys had an easy win against the Bengals.
You need to move to Texas. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif] :D

Still wrong. The proper sentence structure for what you are saying is:

The Bengals lost by a large margin to the Cowboys.

That's why I thought he'd want to get out of NY

Actually the Cowboys started off like gangbusters against the Bungles, then had to rally at the end for a 31-22 win. Watching it on NFL Replay today reminds me of how great Felix Jones was and how unfortunate it was that he got hurt last year.

Jones was a big loss for Dallas last year. So was McBriar. Combine that with Romo out for those 3 games, and that's why they missed the playoffs. At full strength, they would have been able to conjure up at least 1 more win.

But more importantly, do you find it difficult to deal with all the Cowboys "haters" on this message board?

Noooo.... I love the hate!! :) It's the "Us against the World" thang.

But seriously, there are only two kinds of NFL fans: Cowboys fans and those who ENVY the 'Boys.

I'm starting to think we need a separate Cowboys thread. So the fans of other NFL teams can post here without having to worry that their posts will be hijacked and turned into an anti-Cowboys discussion.

I can see the Redskins getting to 7 wins easy. They would need to get 3 more wins the hard way to get into the playoff hunt.

With Jimmy Zorn as their coach and a QB that even they can't wait to replace starting under center, no wins will be "easy" for the Deadskins.

Here's the only 2009 NFL schedule that matters:

REGULAR SEASON (TV)

Sun., Sept. 13 @ Tampa Bay (FOX) Noon

Sun., Sept. 20 NEW YORK GIANTS (NBC) 7:15 p.m.

Mon., Sept. 28 CAROLINA (ESPN) 7:30 p.m.

I would take Jim Zorn over Wade Phillips any day. In the two years Philips has been coach at Dallas, the Cowboys have regressed. Last year was Zorn's first year.... obviously there are issues that need to be addressed for a first year coach. I say Philips has one more year and if the Cowboys don't win a playoff game this year, he will be out.

I didn't realize this, the Chiefs could be in real trouble by the end of week 6. They have to play all four NFC East teams in a row.... they have to play the Eagles, the Cowboys, the Giants and the Redskins in that order.

In Wade's first year we went 13-3. The best record we had under the Tuna was 10-6.

Parcells' records: 2003: 10-6, 2004: 6-10, 2005: 9-7, 2006: 9-7

Phillips' records: 2007: 13-3, 2008: 9-7 (with Romo out four games).

I'm not a huge fan of Wade, but to say the team has regressed is wrong. And this year, without TZero, sTank and PacRat, we might actually have a real football team instead of a circus.

And thus, it all depends on this year. IF the Cowboys do better than they did last year, then last year can be written off of a "sophomore slump" for Phillips. IF the Cowboys only are 9-7 or worse, I think he's fired.
