Re: 2009 NFL Season
Question for everyone here. I am starting a fantasy football league and was wondering who are interested. I think I may have at least 8 spots open. However, I am planning on making it a pay league, meaning there is an entry fee and that's it. It's not going to be THAT much.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!

Looks like Michael Vick has been conditionally reinstated.

So I am trying to find a Bears Toddler jersey for Little Frank...one site has a Rex Grossman jersey marked down to $19.99, I do not think I would pay $1.99 for his jersey.

Sad news about Coach Johnson. I hate the damned Eagles, but Johnson was a hoss DC.

Re: 2009 NFL Season
From Boston.com
Belichick was asked directly whether he or the organization had ruled out signing Vick? His response was:
"Have we ruled it out? I don't know that it's ruled in or ruled out. I'm not not answering your question. I'm saying I don't think it's ever been put that way, so I can't really answer that."
The follow-up question was then whether he was interested in signing Vick.
"You know I think we would consider..." said Belichick, before seemingly reversing field. "We're coaching the players that we have on the field right now, so that's who is here. So, anybody who isn't here is there potential that they could be here? Yeah, there probably is. But right now they're not.
"We're coaching the 80 players that are here, so until we get somebody else we're coaching them. When we get somebody else in here, which I'm sure at some point we will, then we'll coach them and the players that are here. Who that's going to be? Right now, it's the 80 players who are here. That's all I can tell you."
When it was pointed out to Belichick that it didn't sound like he was ruling the 29-year-old Vick out, he repeated his refrain of coaching the players he had in camp.
"I'm coaching the players that are here that are on this team. That's what we do. I'm not coaching anybody else. I'm sure at some point somebody else will be here. I don't know who that is going to be. If I knew, they'd already be here."
Today's comments came on the heels of Belichick's answers on the opening day of camp when he complimented Vick as a player.

I translate Bellichicks reply to mean when he's available we'll go get him...
Makes sense, Tom Brady might not make it all the way back from last years injury and they have no decent backup.

The new Dallas Cowboys Stadium will offer $90 pizzas
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdo ... nfl,180810
The colossal new Dallas Cowboys Stadium is living proof that everything is bigger in Texas. The menu in the luxury suites proves that things there are more expensive too.
Those enjoying a Cowboys game from a luxury suite at the new stadium will have to shell out $90 for pizza and $66 for a 12-pack of domestic beer, reports Steven Sipple of the Lincoln Journal World. Ninety bucks for pizza? That's almost as much of a rip-off as Roy Williams.
It costs $800,000 per year to lease one of those luxury suites, a hefty sum that doesn't include game tickets. On the bright side, the stadium's official Web site says that "having your company's name on a suite makes an important statement about your success" and can help make an impression on clients. (Namely that they're paying you way too much money.)
As for the $90 pizza, that's the cost for a plain pizza. No word on how much each topping costs but, suffice it to say, if you're a fan of pepperoni you may want to consider refinancing your mortgage before you head down to watch the Cowboys

While, the Bear picked up Jay Cutler, I am still having a hard time getting excited about them this year. Beyond Greg Olson, they have no real good receiver.
