The Saints win and are declared the greatest team of all time!

It'd be even cooler if Brees got knocked out early and Mark Brunell led them to victory

Didn't even know Brunell was still in the league.

Yeah, The other day I saw him snap holding or whatever the proper term is. He's now #11 instead of 8. I really don't wanna see Brees hurt, just repeating what a local sports show host jokingly said here in Jax.
Former Jag Leftwich got a ring being a backup so why not Brunell

Brees is too tough to get knocked out. And Brunell, well, he's a holder and only gets to be QB when the game is 48-13 with 2 minutes left or whatever.
And it would NOT be cool if Brees was knocked out in the Super Bowl.

Interesting fact. Neither the San Diego Chargers and the Dallas Cowboys have a player that played in a Super Bowl.

Gotta call you on that one, Ravi...
Chargers long-snapper David Binn was a rookie on the 1994 Super Bowl team that got snuffed by S.F. 49'ers.
He has been a steady, Pro-Bowl caliber snapper/special teams player for 16 years now.
Watch him get into the action today on the punt plays.

Only 2 teams in NFL history have gone to the Super Bowl and finished 18-1. One of them lost the Super Bowl, the other won it.

I believe it was those 1994 San Francisco 49'ers that my Chargers team got run over by, correct?

Of course they will. It's december.
Speaking of quarterbacks doubling as holders, did I see that right on NFL Countdown this morning that the 'boys are having Romo do the holding again? I guess they don't remember the last time he tried to do that.....

clearing my throat AGAIN
The 1984 S.F. 49ers also won the Super Bowl after finishing the regular season at 15-1, and with the two playoff victories leading up to the Super Bowl, they also won 18 and lost only once (to the Steelers).
So that's THREE teams that finished at 18-1.
I'm looking for the Saints or Colts to re-define N.F.L. perfection this year.
