I know, I should know better than to ever doubt Carol's instincts (and your assurances). We've had our villa and airfare booked for months already.

I love it when a plan comes together!

We are staying at Le Petit.
We are traveling together with rKoener.
I am all about early arrival for the day, staking our post then maybe we can all tag for breaks throughout the afternoon.

My thoughts exactly!

We are in on this for sure! If we work together it should be easier to get a great spot for the show. Hopefully there will be some info on if tickets are needed soon.

i guess there will be no beaching that day... :(

i highly doubt that there will be tickets. they haven't had any in the past, plus it would make it a nightmare. the quay is an open area that is right in town, on the docks.
do we have a countdown yet???

3 months and 4 days.... wow :D :D :D

  [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif] i still haven't informed my boss that I'll be out for about 2 and a half weeks. :o

Good thing we have the 2 weeks or so following to do the beach thing! :D
And here's the countdown Carol - I was getting ready to put it up anyway.

Where are you staying. I think Summerlover, rkoener (sp?) MacP, Tag and I are all at L'petit Morne
I thinkt the plan is to stake out our spot early that day and then tag team for food, drink and potty breaks. Good thing there is entertainment most of the day! I have read that LeSelect will not have their table etc set up nor will they be serving food except maybe hors d'oeurves that day.

That sounds like a great plan, seeing Jimmy play close up is a BIG dream of mine and what better place than St. Barts. Our villa is in Anse des Cayes very near St. Jean . Where is your hotel located ? Tag teaming sounds like the way to go ..... LMK the details when you work them out : ) !!!!!

Scarlet I surfed around the SB tourism website on my little laptop last night. Just bought the big iMac and decided those beautiful pics would look so much better on the big screen so I quite looking.
I think I need a new camera before we go. Jim cringes when I talk electronics.
Glad we will be arriving a few days ahead of time to explore the island. Now I wish we would have stayed an extra day or two.

We will need some inexpensive restaurant ideas when it gets closer.

OMG did you see the water !!!!!! Thanks for the link I can't stop looking at it . . . . . WinAir changed our flight times we now arrive in St. Barts at 2:50p.m. instead of 4:15p.m. I guess it's carryon only since we won't have too much time in St. Martin . Not quite sure how I'm going to manage it I usually bring 8 pr. of shoes on vac & lots of dresses & swim suits.. Guess I'll be wearing things more than once  . Anyone else attemping carryon only ?? Or am I the only crazy one LOL !!!

I'm thinking of trying a "test run" with a carryon and a large "handbag" before I go just to see what I can cram in. My biggest problem is my hair stuff and saline solution, cleaner for my contact lenses - somehow those are heavy. 13 days is a LONG time to live out of a carryon! Even without that the weight limit is 50 pounds total I believe.

My JetBlue flight doesn't get in on time for me to make the WinAir flight so I'm staying on St Martin the night before, I don't want my vacation to start out stressed about catching my flight out, plus I wanted to be on the same flight with Mac and Tag for my first shot into SBH

Summerlover (Donna?) I'm not sure the word inexpensive and restaurant go together on this island :o :D But if you go to sbhonline.com (My good friends the Parrothead haters) or stbartstalk.com they have separate forums for restaurants. If you want to ask a specific question stbartstalk is a tad friendlier. Cec1 on both boards actually owns the Normandie and is extremely familiar with the island. Plus he's just a nice guy. There are places like Andy's and another burger place besides LeSelect (who is closing their kitchen that weekend) and a few others that aren't so bad.

We are going with carry-on. It will be interesting. My problem is hair stuff. I will just have to have Jim carry my liquids that I need in his. He is low maintenance. I believe we will be buying some new luggage (again). Going with the lightest weight I can find. I think I can do it.
Parrotdlar, we have a two hour window to make it to Grand Case and catch our flight. I don't like stress. Should be ok though. I hope!!!

Scarlet I feel for you and the whole contact solution thing. My daughter just flew out yesterday using carry on and she wasn't to happy because the solution takes up lots of space even though we found the small bottles. I think the airlines should make exceptions with eye care stuff.

Oh ya SBO I proceed with this group carefully. They all seem ok with the concert now. And seem a bit excited??? I have pm'ed Cec1, he is a great guy. Food is usually not what we are all about when we travel. I'd rather spend my cash on other things. I have a few places in mind. I haven't looked in depth at the restaurants some of the forums talk about. I have to get these next 2 concerts out of the way first then concentrate on St Barts.
Where is everyone renting their car from????

Will be awesome. We are looking forward to it.

Carol is my travel agent so she's got the car thing, I'm not sure. She should do this for a living she's so good at it. If it hadn't been for her I wouldn't have been privy to the rumor that started this whole thing! :D
And yes, most of SBHO is fine with it now. MikeR and Andymap still seem to be "oh so above it all" but everyone else seems excited. They are all having a big lunch on Saturday at Andys so that's about 28 less people we'll have to fight for a place at the stage with! :D
