Sounds like there are quite a few of us staying in the same place. Should be a good time. I am on board with the others, I think we should get down there as early as possible and stake out our spot. We can take shifts to make sure we don't lose it.

Here is some restaurants

Anse des Cayes :

Chez Yvon - great lobster sandwich ( local hangout )
Chez Ginette

Columbier :

Le Banniers - pizza, salads
Les Routes de Buccaners - on the harbor

Gustava :

Le Creperie : breakfast /lunch light dinner
Le Select
Maya's to go - across from airport gourmet carry out

They have many more restaurants but here is a few of the inexpensive ones . . . .

We are going to go early one morning to the fishman & get fresh fish and cook it up at the villa . . I don't think we will be going to the Sand Bar and have a 300.00 lunch LOL !!!

And the schedule of events for November ain't too bad either.

This is a great website, thanks for the link! I read the schedule for the show, but it doesn't really say where this will all be taking place. Anyone know?

Ryan, from what is said and posted the concert will be on the pier. Thanks Ambition for posting the pics.

Sounds like we're in for a great time.
Considering that the woman who posted it is married to an islander and a journalist on the island AND is connected to the tourism board I'd say this is probably decent info. :D
So far it doesn't say if it's a ticket situation or not. If it's first come first served we'll have to have a BN attack plan once it gets closer!

I know I should know this but when are you arriving and where are you staying? I'm there from the 5th to the 17th. MacP & Tag from the 5-20 I think.
When I was there for the 50th there were no tickets, gates, blah, blah...just first come, first served, walk up and listen to the man play. He used a yacht (homeport was Alaska on the stern) that was tied up aft end in, they all hung out on board there, and then walked through the crowd up on stage. The stage is at the wharf right around the corner from Le Select, easy to find. It's small, I backed up a bit and took the shot below, not very good, tried to lighten it up, but maybe that can give you an idea. Not very good pics anyway, I was more interested in listening, drinking, and havin' a good time!

We were thinking of setting up some kind of BN gathering once we know how long everyone is staying.

And I'm thinking the Sand Bar for drinks ONLY! :D Just so I can say I've been.

I know it's tacky but how fun would it be if all the BN ladies got these shirts to stand in what hopefully will be the front row! As Parrothead attire goes i think it's quite subtle. I think the "yellow shirts" are taken. :D

True enough, maybe we could change into them later in the day (In shifts of course so we don't lose our place!) :D

I know, that part is causing me more stress than anything else!
When we get closer we can talk about if we want to wear the same thing or not! I just thought the shirt was cute and I might get one anyway. I'm vying for "Worlds Oldest Referette"!

we bought some new Samsonite carryon luggage this week. I am trying to decide if I really want to travel "carryon only" or not. We are not flying into st barts, we are taking the ferry. So it might not be as big a deal to have a checked bag. I don't know, I guess we have a little time to figure it out.

I just saw the tee-shirts on Margaritaville and black was the only color. They are pretty pricey at $40 not counting shipping. But..........I am worth it if we decide to order them.

Unless we can come up with something similar for BN shirts. (without having Jimmy sue us!)
