Hi everyone. My name is Rick. I have posted on these boards a few times and lurk everyday. My girlfriend and I are planning on going to St. Barths 11/5-11/9. We rented a 2 bedroom villa which I just paid for. Well, my friend and his wife from Florida now tell me they MAY not be able to make the trip with us. I should hopefully know by Monday or Tuesday of next week. Anyway, a one bedroom villa will probably wind up costing us more than the 2 bedroom villa split 2 ways. Does anyone on the boards feel like making 2 new friends and planned on maybe going to St. Barths? We are 48 and 49 respectively. I wont tell you whos older. She may kill me. We are both non smokers. I feel like I'm writing an eharmony ad. Anyway, PM me if you know how to do that, and I'll keep checking back. Oh yeah, neither of us are serial killers. Just parrott heads looking for a good time in the tropics with some new found friends.

We have chartered a boat, 4 double cabin, 2 single cabin catamaran, from St Martin. We have 1 double cabin available, maybe 2. Looking for someone interested in taking a cabin (2 people).
The dates are Nov 4th thru Nov 9th. We will leave St Martin for St Barths on the evening of Nov 4th or morning of Nov 5th. Back in St Martin the morning of Nov 9th. Jimmy is playing at the docks of Gustavia on Saturday Nov 7th. This give us plenty of time to get there and tour around after the show. Thinking of sailing to St Kitts or Nevis or Anguilla post concert.
Price per person is approximately $700 for the 5 nights including a skipper, hull insurance and gas. Provisions etc are extra.
The catamaran was booked through Charter World.

You are correct..it is on Saturday.......I still may do a fast trip down just to be included in all the "history making"..I am planning my fuel stops as we speak...may have to park the plane on SXM and bum a ride with one of the commuter pilots over...did not have time to get the landing endorsement yet....

Geed181, the more the merrier. I am also not sure what the day will bring but I know my OCD will not let us miss this opportunity if I have to camp at the quay the night before. Hmm, that might be a little extreme.
Geed, we vacation every couple years on Longboat Key and visit other beaches etc. I would love to go further south toward Captiva, Sanibel area. Love looking for seashells. Darn weight limits on baggage. Ha

Summerlover....we are on St. Armands..used to live on Sanibel, I really consider that "home". We own part of the airstrip on North Captiva, just around the corner from Cabbage Key. If we are not on St. Barts, we go there for a quick Island fix. Sounds like you would really love N. Cap. Where are you in Ill.? I grew up in Gurnee on the border of Wi.....Scarlet..Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers..people are much different in person than they are on websites.....Hey, anyone that likes Buffett is O.K. in my book.

No you were fine, it's the people who thought that jimmy's appearance would ruin the whole celebration that I took issue with. Funny how they are all on board for the party now though!

Scarlet..I understand...just remember that ALL of them(me included) know Marius and the special man that he is and were most likely showing loyalty to him, not wanting it to be all about Jimmy..Kind of like going to your favorite bar and a bunch of strangers in your favorite seat..all good in the end and maybe find a few friends in the bunch, as I guarantee you will...I was mostly suggesting the Andy's lunch as a good way to get to know him also, and to hear bartending stories about Autour....Marius used to ride up to Autour often with Jimmy on the back of his scooter. Can't you just picture that!!!

I have a terrible character flaw of not wanting to miss out on anything fun or special. i think the meet up sounds like it could be fun and i'm definitely open to it. it would be a way to show those that we're not all crazy like they think....but then again,i don't want to be in the crowd and not be able to see bubba. ron, you know how short i am!!!

Actually that makes sense I hadn't thought of that, but I also don't want to miss out on being as close to the stage as possible given how much it's costing to do this.
