Ma DouDou is a St Martin brand. The local St Barth brands are Domaine D'Albert <<La Gloriette>>, La Pinta, and M'Bolo. You can find them in any grocery, or in shops in town. Who knows where any of them are really made though.
If you're interested in rum then be sure to try a Rhum Agricole, which is made in Martinique. Rhum Agricole is made from cane syrup rather than molasses, and has a different flavor then most rum. It's best tried in a 'Ti Punch at Le Select. A 'Ti Punch is a drink made with Rhum Agricole, cane syrup, and a small squeeze of line. The saying
1 'Ti Punch
2 'Ti Punch
3 'Ti Punch
Floor
I'm not so much into the sweet drinks the older I get. Yet I will try one and see. Love lime, maybe I'll ask for an extra squeeze of it. Cut the sweet taste. Thanks for the lowdown.
isn't 100% accurate, but keep in mind that you are drinking almost straight rum.

If you make your ice at the hotel or villa, make sure to use bottled water, otherwise you may get adulterated cistern water.

I'm a traditionalist. No Ice.
The real 'Ti Punch question is "Blanc ou Vieux", literally "White or Old", meaning made with white rhum or with aged rhum)
'Ti Punch Blanc for me.

There are some fine rums to sample. I've had some outstanding aged Rhum Agricole. At present (well not right this second) I'm slowly working my way through a bottle of 1993 Rhum J.M. My everyday rhum is a Clement Rhum Vieux Agricole VSOP, which is the only rhum agricole I can find in Boston. Some people like to try a Cuban rum such as Havana Club, which we can't get in the US. You can find many of the rums that are more familiar in the US too.
These photos were taken at Match, the supermarket by the airport, in April.

Dave, I am liking that forecast!!! We have had nothing but RAIN, RAIN, RAIN and more rain. A truly unbelievable Oct. here.
I also can't believe the time is here. We all have sure waited a long time for it. I will post on the forum when we get to SB and try to every evening or when we are in town. I'll have to see how the wifi works. I know it is throughout Gustavia and Ptit Morne has it.

I'm assuming they get some passing showers most days in these places so 20% chance in no big deal.
I can't believe I only have 2 more work days before I leave!! Though it's not like my mind has really been THERE for the last week anyway!
