He can ride in the "Funeral procession" and chill with me and blackjack in Camden also. We promise not to cook him.

Chris, just don't leave him with Jack alone at any point ;)
This does NOT sound good.....
There has to be a funny story behind this :D

I think we have to give Jack the honor of telling it!!!
It's really not all that funny.....

Mohegan Sun two years ago, my crazy ex girlfriend (not the one some of you met last year, one that's even crazier than her) decides to stalk me at the tailgate, so instead of being able to enjoy the day, hang out with my friends and keep an eye on that year's mascot like I agreed to, I spend it getting an earful of s*** all centering around the topic of "Why aren't we back together". Needless to say this causes me to drink even heavier than usual, which causes me to forget to do certain things, like put stuff back into my car before going into the concert. After the concert I get a phone call from my crazy ex girlfriend. More precisely, it's from a security guard using her phone. Seems she's too drunk to function and she had him call me. So I go traipsing all through the casino to find her, then start a wild goose chase to figure out where she parked, get her in her car and drive her home. The next day she drives me back to the casino and my car is still in the parking lot.

The mascot and the cooler, the stuff I forgot to put back in the car, are not.
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

Well, I don't think it would be quite like that, but I'm sure in the excitement of my first Buffett concert and tailgate party I'd probably set Duckett down somewhere while I went off to do/see something else. End result would most likely be the same, though. With your permission, I'll just plan to find out who has Duckett and mingle with them for a bit.

BTW -- anybody here seen Jimmy at Alpine Valley before? Are there any seating areas I definitely *DON'T* want to be -- besides in the parking lot outside while the concert is going on? [smilie=crying.gif] [smilie=cwl.gif]

Yes, I ordered Duckett a gold colored "Critters World Tour" T-shirt for everyone to sign. PetalMel had a great idea of a passport, so I'm going to make him one, for everyone who hosts him to sign (more like a journal of everyone's adventures with Duckett).
I can't remember who made the BN tags, but I was going to ask if whoever it was, could they make him one to wear. I'll put it on an extra lanyard (yes, one of those lanyards) that I have.
Lastly, he'll have a First-Aid kit (patch kit, duct tape and a black sharpie) as suggested by Sanjuro's tequila.

But......if you wanted to donate the grass skirt and coconut bra to Duckett, PM me and I'll give you my address. I'm sure he'd like to have tailgate attire like the rest of us

And of course, pictures of his travels and non-tailgate activities should be posted here as well. Somehow, I feel that some of these will end up in BN Critters.

The lawn is HUGE. I'd go with pavilion tickets. If you DO decide on the lawn, go in early so you can get a spot at the front of the lawn.

Hey! I really like the idea of a passport/journal/guestbook that would travel with Duckett (and apparently his chaperone Anonymouse too). Room for lots of signatures and stories that could be added as he makes his way across the country this summer. A very cool idea. Will he have one in time for his trip to New England? If not, I'll definitely make sure we have something when he makes his way with me to Frisco.

Yes, I'm expecting the T-shirt and Duckett to arrive any day now, and plan on working on the passport this weekend. Al has agreed to make him a BN tag, and I have the extra lanyard.
He should be "stylin" when he heads for Maine. :D

A passport would be great, but what may be better would be a decent hard cover travel journal that would withstand the many miles of travel and handling .... and also lots of blank pages for signatures, stories and hellos. I'll spring for the cost if you want to pick up a nice travel log/journal from a bookstore.

Assuming it finds it way back to me at the end of the concert season, I'll scan the pages and make them available for reading in a special travel section over at http://www.bncritters.com, complete with photos taken along the way, including posts and pictures that find their way into this thread throughout the season.

Duckett's really going to need a travel bag to hold all of this stuff. There also needs to be a laminated card that travels with him that lists all of the items that should go with him. Just remember, at some point he's going to have to be shipped, so the more we add, the more that has to be kept up with.

I'll try to find a bag on Overstock or somewhere and have it shipped to C-Dawg's.

Sounds great........go for it SP. I'll PM you with my address.

As for the bag, I may have something at the house. Let me check before you go spending any money.
I'll let you know TTG. As for the list of his stuff....good idea, but can't we just put that on the first page of the "passport"?

for some reason [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] , all this talk about packing lists, first aid kits and care instructions reminds me of paddington bear's tag from the story
