I truly wish I had ANY songwriting talent. There's a four day Songwriting Intensive Workshop in May, in Nashville, being presented by Darrell Scott (Grammy nominated singer/songwriter who wrote hits recorded by Travis Tritt, Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, and the Dixie Chicks, among others, in addition to his own great releases) and Mary Gauthier (Wheel Inside The Wheel, among others). I wish I could go.

You should go, even if you don't think you have any songwriting ability. The reasons are simple, they are amazing people to hangout with and they will get you to write something and while it may not be up to their level of songwriting, you will be surprised how good it turns out to be.

I *do* have songwriting talent, but prob'ly can't swing that trip at that time. It's incredibly tempting though...
