Last year the Paris concerts were only announced in June. So unless I hear otherwise I still count on a Paris and possibly London concert this year.

I am hoping there is a Paris and/or London Show - we're relocating to the UK for this year and we're going to miss all the US shows

Hoping Bri and I can meet some great new Phriends from "across the pond" :D

Let's hope he thinks outside of the box and realises that England is more than just London...As an old Beatles fan he'd love Liverpool (I recently saw Dean Freidman at the Cavern Club) or what about a gig at something like the Cambridge Folk Festival or even Glasto... :D :D

I was disapointed by the Paris show I got to last year; the club was a dump and the sound was abysmal, surely an artist of Jimmy's calibre could hire a decent PA and not be at the mercy of the vagueries of the house' system... all IMHO of course!!!

I wouldnt have thought that he would do glasto or any other festival without it being annouced way in advance so that people could get tickets If its anywhere it will be London. Clubs and venues of all sizes and next door to Heathrow for a quick flight back to the sun

I know this is your opinion, but are you kidding me?? They didnt even need a sound system, cause we were all so close to the stage. In my opinion this was the greatest concert experience that I have had the priviledge to have been a part of. In fact, because it was such a great time, I am having issues getting tickets for any of my local venues (nyc area) because I dont want to go back to being so far away from the stage after seeing the show standing against the stage and singing along with Tina and Nadira.

Anyway, I guess that is just my opinion. If Jimmy is willing to do a show in Paris?London/whereever every year in a small club, I will be running to go and see it every year.

I agree!! We were standing to the right of the stage, if I had been so inclined, I could have reached out and touched all of them!
[smilie=battingeyes.gif] The sound wa perfect my my standpoint

Yes it was in a bad part of Paris, yes the place was a dump, yes the drinks were too expensive.
Yes there was a band playing with so much joy and quality, not making music for money. An experience never to forget.

In short : Best concert ever

I was at the left side of the stage on the Sat. night and sure, the view and the vibe was ace but the left hand PA speakers weren't working for at least the first six songs so we heard the instruments from the back line but no vocals at all. The roadie was nearly having a heart attack poor sod!!!

It's a good job I new the words... :D

I've not been to London socially for years but have been to good gigs at Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scotts (still going?), Pizza on the Park, Dingwalls etc.

Just my two cents worth too of course...

You can't beat being 3 ft away and being able to walk in the door with the band. Also what Buffett concert can you go to in the US and have the people pass Jimmy a botlle of wine thru the crowd from the bar at the other side of the room. Also to have John (who is in charge of the band equipment) be so nice to my mother; making her a place to sit on the stage next to the band. THANKS AGAIN! Everyone in the band and the crowd was there to have a good time and just play some good music all for about $46 american.

I am not sure what the big deal is about the PA system. I think all I heard was the crowd singing the entire time. As one of the roadies told me before the saturday night show. Get ready for Karaoke night!

In all, it was a great experience, and if he has shows again I will be doing my best to get there. The fact that I have video of him singing directly to my wife during 5 O'clock Somewhere from the Saturday night show is an experience neitehr of us will ever forget. We were standing all the way on the right side of the stage, and he turned right at her and sang.

Funny story actually.......earlier in the show she was going to take a picture/video and Jimmy looked right at her that time as well. But instead of turning the video on where he looked, my wife instead shut the camera and the shutter closed. As she clenched her fist in frustration Jimmy had a good laugh.
