Big East Tournament
This could be one of the best Big East Tournaments of all time. Pitt, UConn, Louisville, Nova...any one of these could not only win the Big East, they are ALL legitimate National Champions as well. Sryracuse, Providence, Georgetown are all capable of pulling an upset over somebody, but for any team that didn't get at least one bye, it's gonna be almost impossible to win 5 nites in a row against all the Big East schools.
I gotta go with Pitt, though, this is the most complete team they've ever had....speed, big men (Blair & Young), depth, experience.

Re: Big East Tournament
Sh*t, forgot about Marquette, but with James out, I don't think they can win it now. Should win one, but can't see them getting to semis.
I can't believe what a bust Georgetown turned out to be this year. Them and Notre Dame, what a bunch of palookas.

Marquette...you mean the team that's LOST four in a row and every game since James season ending injury. They're done.

Re: Big East Tournament
Syracuse won last night, good game. Trying to get tickets for tonight's game, SYR vs UCONN. It is nearly impossible to find a decent seat at a decent price. 400 nosebleeds are going for $100 a piece, and floor seats are $300 a piece. Chances are I wont be there tonight...rumdrinks wrote:I am jealous. Re: Big East Tournament
i've gone to the BE tourney for 10 straight years (haven't been in a couple)..it started with 14 of us getting a room or 2 for the whole tourney...over the years in dwindled down to 4...but we never had tickets....you wait for the schools that lose and buy them up....or hang out at the Pennsylvania or whatever it's called now....Southgate...or the Blarney Rock...always scored tickets...below or at cost....i've actually bought a package off a guy in the arena as the seconds ticked off the clock.....great seats....never sat above 100 section....don't buy them in front or your asking for trouble.....and if Cuse or UCONN loses tonight and one will...there will be tons of tickets for the rest of the weekend!!!UpstateNYPH wrote:Syracuse won last night, good game. Re: Big East Tournament
An Epic Big East battle. If that 6 OT game was for a championship it would have gone down as the best college basketball game ever played. Thats said it was the best game I've ever seen...and I've seen alot.
In the end My Huskies ran out of steam...but in an odd way, I took the loss better than I would have if it ended earlier. Maybe I was just too tired to be upset...Maybe I was thinking ahead to the Big Dance and how another game tonight could not help...or maybe it was just that I was thinking after the heart both teams showed it was too bad anyone had to lose.

And as I grow older, there is so much that I do not know. I'm drawn to those who are bolder and go where no one dares to go...

Re: Big East Tournament
Free throws Free throws free throws.....things you practice but we seem to not be able to make ......it's been that for years with UCONN!!!...and Adrian missing a couple of shots at the end of the 4th and 5th overtime that he never misses!!....When Tabeet went down they were done and Cuse exposed that!!!cammac wrote:An Epic Big East battle. Re: Big East Tournament
Another great win by Cuse! Woohoo!
I am absolutely exhausted from going to the garden 3 nights in a row, drinking mucho beer, and screaming my heart out.
I love my Orange and hope they will do well tomorrow (I will be going back there for the fourth and final game), but Louisville is going to be VERY tough to beat...
May the better playing team win.

Re: Big East Tournament
I'm not sticking up for him, but a lot of people have the story wrong. It wasn't his girlfriend, this girl dated the whole team, they ran into her one night, there was an altercation, and he allegedly hit her in the face with an open hand. People from campus have told me there was an altercation, but she made up that he hit her. Either way, he did some community service, he's back on the team, and hittin 3's instead of ladies.luvinlife wrote:The Cuse are playin great I just can't root for that Devendorf punk!!!! isn't he the guy who punched his girlfriend in the face????
