The windshield wiper fluid was bought with several other items on a recent shopping trip, James told The Associated Press. "This product was mistakenly grabbed and thought to be Kool-Aid and put in the refrigerator," she said.
...
Ten children at [the] day care center drank windshield wiper fluid after a staffer served it from a container mistaken for Kool-Aid and placed in a refrigerator, authorities said Friday.
Daycare staffer wanted. Ability to read a prerequisite.

When I was a child (not the adult that this person was), I accidentally swallowed a large ice cube. I managed to cough it up, but was coughing like mad, and went into the cabinet below the bathroom sink for the Listerine to gargle with, but, because I could barely see straight, I grabbed a bottle of Breck Shampoo and took a big swig of it to gargle. Nothing like bubbles coming out of your mouth---yuck!

Maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do, it's the child in us we really value.

I once saw a parent let their kid drink some soda (looked like coke or pepsi). The kid was maybe 2 or 3.

It astounds me that parents let their young kids have soda. Juice can be pretty bad too taken in massive quantities. I dread baseball season when parents bring gatorade for the kids to drink. The kids are 5 and 7; they don't need gatorade. My kids rarely, if ever, drink juice. They drink water.

That is just how I parent, no offense to parents who do otherwise.

I've seen it in baby bottles.

Good think I am non-violent.

When we were little, our next door neighbor had some old 7-Up bottles filled with Gasoline. I still don't know why. My sister drank an entire bottle (she had a cold at the time and probably couldn't taste much.

She had her stomach pumped and she lived.
