Here is a guy that you should check out, especially if you like Steve Goodman. Steve Goodman and Michael Smith co-wrote a number of songs including Vegamatic (Uncredited), The Dutchman and Elvis Imitators. http://www.artistsofnote.com/michael/index.html.
