Please share. I've yet to make one at home that tastes anything like what I get when I go to a Margaritaville Cafe or a Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant. How do I make a good one without breaking the bank?

I use z-man's recipe (I think it was his, anyway):
1 can Minute Maid frozen limeade
1 can water (use the empty can)
I mix this together and use it as a "mix"
Then when making the actual margaritas, use 2 parts "mix" and about 1 part tequila (depending how strong you want them) with a splash of grand marnier or some other orange liqueur, squeeze a lime wedge in it and mix, serve over ice.
For a Mango version, use 1 part mix, 1 part Jumex Mango Nectar, and around 1 part tequila.

This works well in the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction maker!!

There used to be several threads of margarita recipes here, not sure why they were deleted.
My recipe has been used and consumed by many pholks here; it is very easy and popular
1 can Minute Maid frozen lime concentrate (store brand limeade is not as good) - put in blender
fill can 2/3 with tequila (I use Cuervo gold) 1/3 with triple sec (I use Hiram Walker) - put in blender
fill can with water - put in blender
squeeze juice of a lime into blender
Blend
serve over ice or freeze (alcohol will keep it from freezing solid) and serve frozen

Come on down to the Tampa concert, we will have LOTS of my margaritas (and several frozen concoctions including our mango daquiris)

I use Realime juice. Good tequila ( no quervo) triple sec, just a splash of orange juice, and this is for real flat Fresca.
The 8oz bottle of lime juice I mix in a plastic jar. everything is to taste. With the fresca it won't be flamable. You can drink more than 1 and be somewhat okay. I would like to hear from people who try it. good or bad. Ron.

Frozen Margarita
- I first take a chilled margarita glass and and rum a lime wedge on the edge of half the glass,
then I salt the side of glass that I rubbed the lime on being careful that no salt get on the inside of the glass, just the outside lip.
- Add 2 oz (or more) of tequila (100% Agave Tequila tastes best!) to blender
- Add 1/2 oz Orange Liquor to blender
- Add 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- Add 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- Add a splash of simple syrup (water/sugar)
- Add 1 cup of ice
Blend on Med. for about a minute
pour into your glass
Notes:
keep salt out of the inside of the glass.
freezing the lime and lemon juice ahead of time will give it a creamier and thicker consistency.
I prefer to add the ice last to keep the ice from melting while adding the ingredient's.
