Re: Breakfast
Weekdays it's oatmeal with craisins or other dried fruit. Weekends it depends on what's going on. Last weekend I had my most favorite meal in the world.....2 over easy, home fries, sausage and english muffins.......mmmmmm, I need to go for breakfast.

Re: Breakfast
Most days oatmeal or cold cereal and fruit, I have some good frozen blueberry waffles from the health food store too - anything that doesn't take too long. Usually Saturday I'll have bacon and eggs but I kind of limit the bacon thing, it's my once a week treat. On vacation though, all bets are off, I love my eggs benny (especially the Lobster ones at Blue Heaven!)

Re: Breakfast
most days I don't eat anything before 10:am....weekdays that usually means instant-oatmeal and/or toast (if I'm working from home). Today I had an Instant Breakfast drink....mixed with the last of the chocolate milk I bought.
love going out for the big breakfast, or hitting the breakfast buffet (one T) at the Luxor while in Vegas.
there's a local Cajun place that does GREAT breakfast. usually big enough for me to eat some, take the rest home for later.....and that's saying something for me!
Perkins was doing "free" breakfast yesterday, with a donation to the local MS Walk. Since it's right across the parking lot, went for that!!
Pancakes, waffles, French toast, omelet's, skillets, scrambles, sausage, bacon, ham-slice....give me breakfast anytime of the day....but I'm with Lynn, if I have to make it, it's not going to be often.

Re: Breakfast
As a Type 2 diabetic I have to eat within 2 hours of getting up to stave off lows/spikes. Fan of oatmeal, but instant has way too high a glycemic index and turns to sugar in the bloodstream instantly, too. I love granola with some nuts and fruit, yogurt and coffee. Eggs once in awhile. Fresh whole fruit rather than juices which are instant glucose.

Re: Breakfast
I looove breakfast food, just very rarely eat it in the morning. I used to be really good about at least eating a slice of toast and a piece of fruit when I got up, but I've gotten out of the habit and end up not having anything until lunchtime (if even then, sometimes it's 2p or so before I do).

Re: Breakfast
I ususally have some type of fruit or yogurt. Usually fruit. On the weekends Don sometimes makes a big breakfast however by the time he's up it's more like lunch for me.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

Re: Breakfast
I'm not a morning person and breakfast is not my thing.
I usually eat something sweet---doughnut, sweet roll, muffin, etc. and a glass of juice, usually OJ
I only eat something because I can't take my Rxs on an empty stomach.

Mon-Fri: Nothing... Maybe a NutraGrain bar.
Sat-Sun: Pancakes (peanut butter or coffee chocolate chip) or scrambled eggs.

Re: Breakfast
I sometimes feel the need for a little nutrition in the morning. (Coffee is a drug, not a food.)
PB&J does the trick, but it really doesn't matter because whether I eat breakfast or not, I'm starving by 11AM.

Re: Breakfast
normally breakfast is a struggle for me. I usually eat oatmeal or cereal. Before the diet I ate yogurt. (It doesn't get added back until I go on maintenance.)
However the breakfast buffet at Dukes in Hawaii was SUPER...and we usually ate the breakfast buffet and skipped lunch. Omelettes made to order, all kinds of fruit and potatos and coconut bread pudding...
And, no, most of the stuff on the buffet wasn't ont he diet either..but hey, we were in Hawaii

Re: Breakfast
I love breakfast too, esp., on the weekends. Whenever we go to a diner no matter what time it is, I order breakfast.
During the week, a quick cold or hot cereal with some fruit on it., oatmeal, cream of wheat.
