Hey phriends!
My wife and I followed the Cap'n Ron's Florida Keys Adventure guide a few years back and are planning another trip soon.
However, I cannot find it anywhere on line. Does anyone know the link or have a copy to post?
Thank you!

Re: Cap'n Ron's Florida Keys Adventure
Sorry to say that I am pretty sue the server that had Cap'n Ron's list on it has shutdown. I originally looked at the list by way of the Margaritaville discussion board. Even a few years back it was somewhat outdated but still quite a few places were still around. Then I think it was a year or two ago that someone was looking for the list again. I had the site bookmarked but when I clicked on it it had some kind of message that the server was no longer woring or something to that affect.
There were many people that were quite upset including people that had their own info stored on that server. All of the info was lost.
Hopefully we get someone that copied the info from a few years ago and could at least copy and paste the list or something.
Otherwise you may want to start your own list.
The first thread of this Changes In Latitudes heading does have quite a bit of the Keys and Key West info or links to other Keys discussions.
I was just down there a couple of weeks ago. It's still as fun as ever. They are always getting new places but quite a few of the old traditional favs are still around.
Good Luck and Safe Travels!

Re: Cap'n Ron's Florida Keys Adventure
Sure, I blast out the post and then I start searching for the Cap'n Ron's list and low and behold there is a new version from 2004.
Try this:
http://piratejohntravel.com/BuccaneerPr ... _Guide.pdf
A little out of date since it is 2004 but most things still work and are there
And Yes sure enough I did find where the old Cap'n Ron's list had been hosted on Hometown with the following message
Dear AOL Hometown user,
We're sorry to inform you that as of Oct. 31, 2008, AOL® Hometown was shut down permanently. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
There you go, it's my story and I am sticking to it!!!!!!

We used the old guide on our trip to the Keys last year and still found it to be a valuable resource........digitalprintman wrote:Sure, I blast out the post and then I start searching for the Cap'n Ron's list and low and behold there is a new version from 2004.

On most days I say: "Wrinkles only go where the smiles have been...."
Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"
If something or someone gets you down, just remember: "In a hundred years it all won’t matter.........."

Thank you everyone for your replies and also the link to the guide!
Our last trip, we visited Alabama Jacks, Robbies, saw the African Queen and found our way to the No Name (barely). Looking forward to stopping off at new places on our way down to KW!

Their fish sandwiches are great.......
And, of course, No Name Pub on Big Pine Key is not far away either: http://www.nonamepub.com/
