For any BJ's members looking to make your patio or deck a little more tropical...

I know some here have built much nicer tiki bars themselves, but if you are not handy like me, this just might fit the bill!

I just bought this last week! I'll have to take pictures of it and post them. It is actually a pretty well put together product.

It looks very similar to one I got from Target a few years ago. The countertop is slightly different.
It's an inexpensive way to get something on your patio RIGHT NOW, as opposed to how long it would take to build one. Oddly, the instructions with mine said "don't leave it outside when it rains." I mean, what's the point? And if this is a similar model, it's going to be *way* too heavy to move much once it's in place.
Also, bamboo tends to split, and over time the whole thing starts to lean a bit. The paint *will* peel. On mine, this looks least attractive on the roof, and hardest to fix.
My solution for the roof will be fireproofed thatch, which should just clamp on under the ridge beam and will hide the extremely flaked split bamboo. My solution for the bartop has been to apply Enviro-tex, the stuff that acts like really thick varnish.
If I were you, I'd comparison shop and look for a better price. Target's everyday price on this was $299 a few years back, and I bought mine on clearance for only $199. Expect it to last 3-5 years; expect to have to resand and refinish it annually, unless you're using better stuff than I did - spar varnish, the first few years.

That's a pretty nice Tiki Bar and the price is very nice. If I had the extra cash to spare right now, I would be all over that.

I want to recommend again -
www.mobiletikibar.com. I wrote a jingle for them once.
Where else can you get a tiki bar that you can fit in the hatch of a corvette?
