I haven't had a cupcake in ages! We used to make cupcakes that were chocolate devils food cake (from scratch) with cheesecake batter dropped in the middle, and in the cheesecake batter were mini chocolate chips and slivered almonds sprinkled on top. They were to die for!

Usually I like to keep cupcakes simple. When I"m ambitious and for valentines day I make red velvet cupcakes with mascarpone icing. Very good.
