Charleston was right in front of us at Charlotte. Being a newbie to seats THAT CLOSE (second row... SECOND ROW) it was the first time we'd seen him... so serious an expression, but making bunny ears behind the folks in front of us when they took their "look where we were" pics. Gotta love him!
Mr. Miles in "game face" is someone I would never mess with....
But otherwise he's a big, friendly teddy bear.
A handful of us BNers have had the experience of Charleston going over the top of us and sweeping 3 of us out of the way as if we were toddlers when he had to get through the crowd to grab a guy headed toward the stage with a beer bottle. We couldn't get out of his way (there was nowhere to go) so he went right over us.
Charleston made a guest appearance in the 7th row at the Charlotte show (we were in the 6th row.) The idiots behind us thought it was funny to try to hit the band with beach balls. They laughed when Nadira flinched and hit one in JB's direction.
Charleston made his presence felt. They replied with a lame, "We didn't know" and he barked back, "You know now!"
He alerted local security to keep an eye on them and returned to his perch on stage where we were able to get a good look at his "game face" which was directed just behind us.

or someone calling Myrtle in a drunken state
maybe.....once.....
Somebody send this strip to the band, and I imagine Jimmy and half of the Reefers would be calling him "Myrtle".
Just not necessarily to his face. -"BB"-

And then there was night in Miami when Charleston moved from stage left to stage right in the blink of an eye, picked up a woman who'd stormed the stage and had her off the back of platform before anyone knew what had happened. The guy has a leopard's speed and light, cat feet. It was amazing.
I'll see if I can find any photos of him from the pit in Dallas/Frisco.
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.

Any other photos out there, I mean, ummm, just in case Charleston (or Myrtle) makes another appearance next week in the strip?
I'd hate for his character to always be a hulking/headless figure. Especially for a dude that makes "bunny ears" in photos.
Only other pic I could find. I am 5' 11'' so......
he is big. I am glad to call him a friend. Don't want
