Reunion...Live At The Windjammer
A Review by Billy Peoples, The Old Parrot Head
Truly one of the most memorable musical events I have ever witnessed was the
reunion in May 2001 of the Ex-Coral Reefers. These pholks are all former members of Buffett's band, many changes have taken over the years but these are some of the very best ex-members. The event took place in Charleston, SC during ParrotStock 2001. Just to see the Immortal Reefers was a thrill but to have them perform for us was unbelievable. Many of them had not played together for over twenty years. They practiced, for several hours before their scheduled appearance and it seemed that they never missed a beat. My memory will always have a very vivid recollection of the performance and now to have the "CD" so I can relive this event over and over almost defies my fondest dreams. Whether you were there for this historic event will not in anyway lessen the impact of this truly fantastic CD. Now to the music on the CD - a "MUST" have for any aficionado of things parrothead/Buffett. The CD has many of the songs we have all heard over the years and for some there will be new experiences. The chit chat and insights into their relationships with Jimmy alone is worth the price of the CD. The CD (Reunion - Live At The WindJammer) contains songs by Deborah
McColl, Roger Bartlett, Fingers Taylor, Keith Sykes and Harry Dailey, backed up by Jay Spell and Philip Fajardo. You can reach Roger at his webpage - http://www.rogerbartlett.com

No way! I live in SC for a Summer while my buddy was playing minor league basbal for the River Dogs! He lived in Mt Pleasant and the Windjammer we used to go to was on the Isle of Palms! Is this the same place? I love that place although most of the island was still in tough shape from Hurricane Hugo!
I would have love to have been there for that show!
