The day an entertainer has no concern for his fans or assets is the day his popularity begins to tumble and can fall hard. I don't think Jimmy wants to fall hard, so I believe he does care.

(You see, the running of the shad up the connecticut river is apparently a big deal, and has been for 300 years, and she grew up in a town--windsor--that's recognized as one of the oldest in the state and is on the river, so apparently every year they have a shad derby festival.
