Pulled pork sandwiches & Chili..
Both go well with rum..don't they..
Are we sure they are going to allow tailgating this year? the last 3 shows were in the "warmer" months so there was not much of a question. Has anyone heard from them about having a special lot for Buffett tailgating again?

I am heading to Mohegan on Thursday of this week for a day of gambling. I'll be sure and ask around about the tailgating situation for us. I'll report back anything I find out.

If we are made to be inside all day at Margaritaville then I may slip a (no pun intended) bottle of rum in my jacket pocket and mix a few of my own drinks on the side like I used to do when I was a teenager. Yup. all class

I sent Mohegan an email inquiring about tailgating - this was the response.......
Winter parking area will be open for tailgaiting, you will need a ticket to the show to get in. There will not be a VIP Tent and food will not be served in the winter lot. There will be port-a-potties, At this time it will be at 10:00am and go until 4:30 or 5:00pm.

The "You need a ticket for admission" thing is something they do all the time and they are strict about--with your car. I've just always parked in the garage next door and walked into the tailgate lot.k2125girl wrote:I sent Mohegan an email inquiring about tailgating - this was the response.......

I don't have tickets, I am really just going to hangout for the party and do a little gambling. If I can pick up a cheap ticket the day of the show I will, if not there is plenty to do down there during the show.popcornjack wrote:The "You need a ticket for admission" thing is something they do all the time and they are strict about--with your car. As long as we can walk over to the tailgate lot I am perfectly fine with that. I'll just have to ask one of you with tickets to meet me ahead of time so I can put a cooler in your vehicle.
And make sure you pack your long underwear, the longterm forcast for Uncasville, CT has the temps in the mid 40's at the end of next week

We are bringing our motorhome there on Wednesday, we don't have tickets either but are hoping they will allow us to park in the winter lot with our camper.

Re: Who's going to Mohegan Sun 11/21
wow - I'm so far behind in my planning for this.. oops! Got side tracked in Key West!
I'm doing the same.. no tix, just planning on doing the tailgate and hanging at Margaritaville during the show (spend the tix $ on drinks instead!). Been to enough shows this year... anyways, got a few stragglers with tix and am either just going to kidnap one in my truck or leave it there Friday night! think they'll let me park there? I have a few people coming in RV's and campers too.
I also heard a rumor Ilo may be playing Saturday after the show at Margaritaville... (sorry, should read back on the thread if this has already been mentioned - being lazy!).
I cant promise I'll have a lot of room.. but would be happy to put as many coolers as possible in my truck!

Or just park, walk over, I'll give you my ticket, walk back to your car, and drive into the lot. That's what I've done in the past. And you I trust with my ticket.
