Don't know of any so far that are going to Paris. Look forward to seeing you in Paris. We are also going to Las Vegas in October and booked after it was advertised thinking Jimmy was playing at the MGM but now he is not and we are unable to cancel. A lot of Parrotheads are arranging to meet around the weekend of 17th October and think that Las Vegas Parrothead club may be arranging something. We are going to have a good time without Jimmy. Why don't you join us

Derek - we are just along the road from La Cigale at the Ibis Sacre Coeur. It was reasonable when we booked it but dont know what they are charging now. Try: http://www.ibishotel.com

Hope to see you there.............

A few of us in LV also planned on going to the Oct show & were most disappointed when it cancelled. The paris show was a fluke since we already had our 8 day road trip planned.
I was listening to Margaritaville radio on XM when I heard the date for Paris & realized it was the same night we would be there before departing for home Sun am.
I would be happy to join you guys in Vegas if I'm there. I drive a long haul big rig and might
Not be in town but I'll try. I'll keep an eye out for more info.

It will be great to meet you. We were also at the first show in Paris so may be on your photos somewhere.

We are going to see Jake on the Thursday followed by the saturday show. A few of us are then planning to get together for a drink on the friday, as some people do not fly in until then. If you can join us you will be most welcome. No location etc yet but will arrange that a bit nearer the time.

Cheers !

We don't have anything planned for Friday (at this point)...our biggest problem is that we do not have a cell phone
that will work in another country, we barely ever use the ones we have here so it is hard to justify a new iphone.
If you have a meeting place figured out before we leave on the 19th, that would be great; if not we can find out where on Thursday at Jake's show.

It's an American thing, most of our phones are tri or quad band phones (except the very cheap ones) as we tend to travel and need to use them in different countries. Most Americans don't travel therefore don't need to use them abroad.

see you in Paree, with my phone.

Should we ask Marcus to put a cell phone list on page one

Does anyone know a good place to eat some good food near the venue before the show?
This should be a totally awesome show.

Its a new location this year but luckily we stayed near there last year so have some idea of whats around...

First you need to define 'good'... :D The reason I say that is that it is just along the road from the Moulin Rouge and everything is a bit 'tacky' and aimed at the tourists. If you are in the queue and just want to grab a snack there is plenty of choice but if you want the full 3 course menu not so easy. There is an irish bar almost next door to the Moulin Rouge where I was going to suggest we meet up on the friday night but if you walk away from La Cigale keeping the Moulin Rouge on your right and keep going till you come to a busy junction - then turn left - there are some better places along that road.

I will try and find the names and details later.

You might be better to have a main meal at lunch time and just snack in the evening. I guess it depends what time we are all going to get in the queue.............

Thanks. I've been to the MR area before and do remember those restaurants but was hoping for something a bit more "French"
We'll probably do what you suggested and have a bigger meal at lunch & just snack later.

I know what you mean about 'something a bit more French' We have had homes in France since 1990 and have watched good french food go down hill very fast. The busiest restaurant in France these days is McDonalds, closely followed by any pizza place! French food is definately not what is was and where you can find it the cost is sky high! The rose tinted glasses have definately gone for most people..... very sad :(

Help needed. I'm trying to purchase Paris Buffett tickets; however, I'm having a hard time registering on the venue's website. There doesn't appear to be United States listed under 'countries' to register. Am I doing something wrong? How did you guys get tickets?
