It just gets more and more interesting.............

Don't know how many of you have just received an email from GDP, asking if you want tickets for Jakes show? My guess would be the show is not full and it went to people who have bought tickets for Jimmy on the saturday. I know its in french :-? :-? but did anyone translate this line??

Qui sait, JIMMY BUFFETT sera peut-être présent :-)

basically it means - 'who knows, JIMMY BUFFETT may be present' :D  :D

How many more days to go..................?????? [smilie=hiya.gif] [smilie=hiya.gif]

I promised the wife we would go to a show this year, since she missed the earlier Charlotte show with a me and a few Buffett virgins. Since Vegas was canceled, Paris seemed like the logical (illogical solution). We will be in Paris on Thursday and would love to meet up with some fellow Parrot-heads. Where or what is the concert on Thurs? We won't be in till fairly late Thurs. since we are coming by way of London and the "Chunnel."

We are on the 1229 Eurobar (Eurostar) from London to Paris, will be at The New Morning Jaz Club on Thursday night.

David

What time at New Morning. We probably will be too late. We wanted to check out London and at taking the 1730 Eurostar.
Jakes show at the New Morning starts at 9pm - however dont forget that France is one hour ahead of the UK so you would be very lucky to make it in time!
Sorry.....

My tickets for the 1st show said 9pm, but when we got there at 8pm Jimmy was just starting. Half the audience did not arrive until 830.

I also got the "E" mail from the promoter of the Jake Shimabukuro concert at the New Morning on the 24th September.
The "E" mail had an attachment which stated he will be appearing with the Coral Reefer All Stars.
We will be there at least an hour before the scheduled 9pm start just in case.

Greetings ladies and gents.

I will try to get in touch with you all individually so that no one gets left out - but for those of you super forum active individuals....join our Facebook group "Parrotheads in Paris - Sept 2009" to meet up with all of us coming from the world over to see Jimmy in the city of love. Or if you aren't Facebook savvy send me an email to kay.googel@gmail.com and I'll add you to the list for the tailgate and after party.

Fins up!
Kay

Just wish the Vegas dates wre back on. Have you had some inside info that they might back on. The MGM Grand is now booked with someone else for the 24th October. I only know that the Las Vegas Parrot Head Club have arranged a party on the 17th October at Tommy Rockers for everyone who is still going to Vegas without Jimmy. If you know anymore please let me know. I won't get too excited yet. - See you in Paris.

The Orlando date has been removed from the web site, it leaves a big gap, anything on the 17th

Surprisingly what I haven't heard anyone mention is the very distinct possiblity of Jake joining Jimmy during the La Cigale show as well as, I'm sure, Ilo. That would make for a pretty cool time there. Maybe someone further back in the pages has brought it up but I haven't gone back too far.

I would be shocked if Jake Didn't show up for Jimmy's show..... :o :o :o :o :o 8) I think the bigger question is if Jimmy will show up for jake's show........he may feel like he doesn't want to steal Jake's spotlight.........However it would be very cool to see Jimmy backing Jake up.... :D :D :D 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Friday Night - 25.9.09

As promised have been looking into somewhere to meet up on Friday night for those who would like to get to know each other in person! It would be great to meet you all.

My suggestion is that we meet in O'Sullivans Irish Bar between 7 and 7.30pm - next door to the Moulin Rouge.

O'Sullivans by the mill
92, Boulevard de Clichy
75018 paris, France

(nearest Metro stop is Pigalle)

I know its not very french but its an easy place to find and close to where we will be at La Cigale the following evening. So it will allow those who dont know Paris to get a feel for the location. We can always go on elsewhere if the mood supports it.

My mobile number is : 0044 7774 738412 if anyone needs it.

Hope you can make it! Some idea of numbers would be good..............

PS I will be wearing my Buffettnews tag so hopefully will be easy to find

I don't know if this would have any affect on whether Jake joined Jimmy, but he plays the next day in Japan. It would be wonderful to see him play with the Coral Reefers again.
