Not sure I'm ready for this, but I'm SO happy that school is out for summer!

YIKES!!! I still think all kids should be sent to Siberia for the middle school years...it's tough on everyone.

But you've got a good one...I think you may just survive it.

Happy Summer to your family!

Congrats! Mine's going into 8th, 7th grade wasn't so bad. She still has 3 weeks of school left. Messing up our plans for Camden & Great Woods abit.

I COMPLETELY agree--especially girls and they can keep them until about 16-17. Having 2 daughters and 3 granddaughters go through that stage, I can tell you, they're not human.

It gets worse! Mine passed her driver's test yesterday!
(Kinda weird, she won't be 16 til next Thursday, but now they let them take their tests early, they just don't give them the license til they have their birthday . . .)

No worries, Mal.....
You've got a great kid, and you've given her the best gift ever. Your time. Yes, you gave her Love, and Guidance, of course...But you gave of yourself and that's wonderful!
I had a great one too...8th grade is the only time I had to punish her...Once. That's all it took.
(When you pack them all up and wake the other parents up at 2:00 am, to take them home and make them tell what they did? The lesson kinda stays with them...

)

My first thought was "oh no, she's going to drive!" My second thought was "Holy crap! After driving kids arounhd for more than 21 years, I'm done!"
