"Jimmy Buffett Goes To Bat in East Hampton for Victims"

On September 22 in East Hampton, NY, Jimmy Buffett stepped up to the plate for the 4th Annual Maidstoners Softball Challenge, a game that usually benefits the Child Development Center of the Hamptons but this year raised money for the New York State World Trade Center Relief Fund. The singer played left field for an all-star team that included Alec Baldwin (catcher), Roy Scheider (pitcher) and Survivor II's Kimmi Kappenberg (right field). Despite their best efforts, the celebrities lost to the local players, 14 - 12.
