I'm watching the first clip now. Boy, he looks uncomfortable. The look in his eyes clearly says, "OK, who got me into this and how the Hell do I get out?"

This was at a time when Buffett was really trying to hit the country charts (and did, with "Who's the Blonde Stranger" in '84 and "If the Phone Doesn't Ring" in '85). I remember an interview he did (I think with "Country Music" magazine) where he lamented the fact that "Alabama's selling 4,000,000 records and I'm selling 400,000".
"If the Phone Doesn't Ring" was the song that caused me to buy my first Buffett album ("Last Mango in Paris", on cassette in 1985; still have it). Later on that year I bought "Songs You Know by Heart" as well.

I do so love stuff like this. Did y'all see that YOUNG Mac.
Wonderful!!! I remember watching that part with Dan Fogelberg back after he died.

It's so cool to see the whole show.
(But in part I, Jimmy says he was down in Irish Bayou, Louisiana doing an album cover. That would have been Riddles in the Sand. No??? I always thought RITS photography was done in Texas. Always figured it was Port A)
Just watched Part 3B with Marshall Chapman and Jimmy talked about her name Last Mango In Paris...so that's the album he was talking about.

Well, hells bells! In Who's The Blonde Stranger...Graham was not a player at Texas A&M...that Graham on the jersey is Bob Graham, who was governor of Florida. DUH!
But, the guy wearing the jersey is Will Jennings...I think.
