I thought the Notre Dame game was fun on Saturday...they have not covered the point spread for four straight weeks in a row...they sure make it interesting though :D

game on the line and time running out than Jimmy Clausen? Notre Dame's defense looked
bad throughout, but put on three awesome goaline stands when it counted.

GO IRISH!
PLEASE. Try to keep in mind that they were playing the UW who for some reason or other (I have no idea why)
have a curse upon them and they can't beat ND. Even in the 90's when they had the game locked up and all they had
to do was sit on the damn ball they managed to lose the game.
Please. They beat the team that beat USC. Washington could have put the game out of
reach with the help of that phantom "roughing the snapper" call. The snapper stood straight
up and the ND defenders rushed past on either side. He was barely touched. I was a long-snapper
on my high school team and I got hit plenty of times and never had anything called. Anyway,
Washington had the ball first and goal at the 1 twice and couldn't put in in on 7 plays. Plus
no one could stop Golden Tate. 244 yards receiving! Now the Irish have to get ready for USC.
They'll still be without Mike Floyd, Armando Allen is still hurting, and Jimmy Clausen is still not
100 %, but I got a good feeling about this game. GO IRISH! :pirate:

Well that's what the keets at BC are hoping....... 8) a little less than three weeks to the annual Holy War....... :D

The Irish didn't beat the Dawgs, the guy in the replay booth did. He over-ruled a Husky TD that was good and didn't even bother to review ND's 2 point play where the ball was downed at the 2 yd line . . . Final Score UW 37 ND 28

From yesterday's Atlanta Journal Constitution...

•Speaking of decommits, is there another flip in the Gators’ future? Reportedly Florida commitment Matt Elam is considering switching to Tennessee after a visit to Knoxville this past weekend. Lane Kiffin, who infamously angered the Gators by getting Pahokee’s Nu’Keese Richardson to flip last year, already has a couple this recruiting season, including the aforementioned Byrnes defensive end Corey Miller (from FSU), and the Vols are credited for JaWuan James’ decision to back out on Alabama, too. . . .

How can a TD be overuled when it was never called a TD? The guy in the booth merely
confirmed what was called on the field. No TD for Washington. As for the 2 pt call,
you put too much stock on what that hater on ESPN (May) tried to show people.

It was called a TD on the field and was over-ruled in the booth. After the initial call, and watching from several angles, the announcers even said "no way they'll reverse this one . . . " That's the national TV (ND "homer") announcers . . .

Matt Elam says he’s a Gator, done with visits

Elam:

“I talked to my coach a little,” Elam said, referring to Meyer. “We talked about the safety situation and our relationship.

“I committed for a reason. I’m not going to back down. It’s all Florida.”

He is now signing every text message, “#22 UF BOUND.”

Elam started looking around in part because he was concerned about being one of four safeties committed to the Gators. One thing tying him back to Florida, though, was his relationship with Meyer. Meyer coached Abram Elam, Matt’s brother, at Notre Dame.

If you want further proof that Elam is Florida-bound, I asked him if Lane Kiffin was going to be mad at him and he responded: “Oh well, I’ll just beat him.”

What game were you watching?

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/h ... efs10.html

Conferences say refs erred in UW's defeat
"In a statement relayed through Pac-10 associate commissioner Dave Hirsch, the conference said Friday that "after further consideration, both conferences have agreed that some calls in that game were missed by both the officials on the field and in the replay booth and we've moved on."
However, UW specifically questioned two — a reversal by replay of an apparent TD run by Chris Polk in the fourth quarter; and a later decision not to review a two-point conversion run by Notre Dame's Robert Hughes."

The game is still a loss in the won-loss column, but we all know who won the game.
Go Dawgs!
